    Default Timeframe to avoid?

If I'm charting to avoid, what is the timeframe to avoid? I O the same day each cycle so I'm not concerned about that kind of variation. My second pregnancy was conceived 5-6 days pre O (were going to start TTC the following month)

I currently off birth control and would really prefer to not go back on between now and when we TTC sometime next year. I'm not opposed to an "oops" but would prefer to get in more time at work being productive before I enter the first trimester which has kicked my butt every time.

While rare, because cervical mucus needs to be just right, sperm can survive for up to 5 days. The egg, once released can survive up to 24 hours. So, assuming you are consistent on ovulation, I would avoid the 6 days before, the day of ovulation, and the day after.
