Thread: 50mg Clomid & Tamoxiden CD3~7

Hello ladies...havent posted here in a long while. This is my first med cycle with fertility DR. Last month I had to set out a cycle because at my CD3 US I had two hugh cyst and had to take BCP. Moving forward this month CD3 US went well. I started clomid and tamoxidem which is a new combination to me.Have u ladies heard of this? I go in for blood work Tues and if my estrogen is steady then they will monitor via US and trigger O with shot. If my blood work come back with decline in estrogen I will start injectables (follitism). Hoping the combo work cause my insurance dont cover the injection and its 500 buck...but looking forward to getting my BFP soon. Ready to get to know u ladies.

I haven't heard of that combination. Hope it works for you. What exactly is tamoxidem? Good luck

Hey Dawn..Ive done research on tamoxiden and really couldnt find much
but my estrogen test wasnt good and I started my injection of follitism today 50 units
So I will take 50 units for the next two days and then go in on Friday for US and bloodwork and possibly trigger. So excited

So I did CD3-7 50 mg of clomid and 20mg of tamixoden, then 50 units of follistim from CD 9-11. On CD12 I had US (Friday Jan21) and had two follicle on left and one on right but estrongen was only 138. Which indicate only in dominate follicle. Measurements were 17, 18 left and 19 right. Tonight I updated the dosage to 100 and go in for more blood work Saturday moring at hospital and hopefully trigger by the end of the day. I am so excited about this cycle and hope it work....

Good luck. It sounds like you have a couple of good follicles growing...and I think they keep growing about 1-2mm per day until they rupture so that will help too. Hope this is your cycle.

My results today show estrongen decrease but progestrone was increasing. was told take trigger shot and to have time bding....will be in the two week wait soon....hoping this will be the last and only cycle of injection.

Well three weeks after I was told that the trigger did not work and the cyle was a bust I got my BFP. This is what happen, after the trigger I went in for a progesterone test and it was .5 was ask if I wanted to start provera to start a new cycle. I decided to wait it out. A week after that I notice that my boobs were getting sore and have been for over 10 days. On the 14th day of sore boobs (yesterday) I tested and BFP. Went in for a Beta and it was 23 and progesterone was 16. I am currently on progesterone suppositories and go back tomorrow for second beta. I tested yesterday before beta with Dollar general test both positive and clear blue digital and also pregnant. Praying for this baby.......
