Hello girls!!! I'm sorry I didn't get on sooner, but this is the first day I ventured downstairs. I want to thank you all for your extra prayers and support.

I was in surgery for 6 & 1/2 hours. The doctor removed a fibroid the size of a newborns head I am in a lot of pain but it seems to be slowly going away. Wednesday my upper incession was bleeding b/c I was trying to do everything on my own, so I stopped. All I am doing is sleeping, taking my meds, & eating jello/italian ice/soup/crackers. No solid foods yet. I just got out of the shower & i'm feeling a little dizzy, so I will be heading back upstairs to lay down.

    DAWN!!!!!!!!!

I am so happy you are OK.. I mean I am sure you are miserably sore but I am so thankful you are okay!!! I have been thinking about you and praying!

That was a monster fibroid!!!!!! I am so glad it's out of you!!!! And your uterus is still there and everything!!!!!!!! What a blessing.

Just know we are thinking and praying for a fast and speedy recovery! Careful, those pills will make you dizzy from time to time so make sure you do ask for help when you need it so you don't have any further injury! Sorry, I am a worry wart.

    BIG BIG BIG BIG

Love you honey! Feel better soon and update again when you are able!

my follow appointment went well. The doctor was NOT happy that I didn't stay in the hospital that night but knew my personality & that I was going to put up a fight. But he was more upset that I came back to work when I did. He wanted me off for at least 2 weeks. He showed me that pictures of the fibroid OMG it was HUGE. Seriously looked just like a baby's head. He is advising us to give my body 3-4 months to heal before we get pregnant. He doesn't want my uterus to not be healed then get pregnant & stretched to the fullest. He wants me to continue with no exercise/lifting for at least 8 weeks, but I can go for walks, but I can't push myself YAY!!! Good news is that I didn't gain any weight.

That great news Dawn that your follow up went well
I tend to agree with your doctor - you have to take care of you - hate for something terrible to happen. Hopefully DH will pamper you and do all the chores (no sweeping or vaccuuming)....okay, well at least some of 'em.
Just so happy to hear that all is going well with recovering from surgery

Hello ladies I hope everyone is doing well...I wanted to welcome all the new members I see on here as well. Dawn, I'm so glad that your surgery went well and I hope that this will be the miracle you needed to finally provide you with a bundle of joy.

I check on here probably about once a month to see how everyone is doing, but things have been crazy here. I actually had been single for about 8 months, but met someone 2 months ago. It has been wonderful. He is 45 and his kids are 19 and 22 so there is no worries about an ex. His daughter has a 2 year old, we babysat for him the other day and it was a blast. He fell asleep in my arms and poured a bottle of melon lotion on the dog.....lol. He is going to move in here as soon as I can get some of my stuff cleared out..lol...

as far a TTC goes were not trying or anything, but were not preventing either. Were just leaving it in Gods hands, if it is supposed to happen I will Ovulate on my own. I'm still taking classes for Med. school and we are going to put the house up for sale this next school year and move to Texas(he lived there for a long time). There are a few med. schools that I am applying to down there.

anyway thats my life for the time being..I will keep checking on everyone here...

Cheryl - It's so good to hear from you! I don't know if you remember me or not but I was wondering how you were doing! Great to hear about your new guy - he sounds like a sweetie and it sounds like things are happy for you in your world, which is great! I don't know if you know Laura (aka: snowwhite) but she's in Texas - you two may be close enough for coffee. Great to hear that you're still in Med School - I hope that all goes well for you. Hope to hear again from you

Dawn - How's things going ? You've been on my mind all week and today is the first day that I've had access to the computer. I am sending you a ton of love and healing your way!

Molly - How are you doing? I hope that you're doing good and that it's just the summer sunshine that has you MIA

Tacie, I am doing great. I started walking 30 mins a day for now. Not over doing anything. I can't wait to get back to TTC but will be off that for 3-4 months. Then we are going to let it in God's hands

    How are you?

    Hey Dawn,

Great to hear from you! WOW you're up to 30 min/day - that's awesome! I hope the weather is nice for you so you can enjoy every moment of your walk.
I am finding a month off of TTC to be quite stress free - I hope you're feeling the same and I pray that God blesses you with a little one when everything is healed and ready

I am doing okay - told DH that I just wanted to quit it all and he convinced me to try another two IUIs and at least go to the consult appt for IVF. So this month is off and then it's back to it again. I bought a motorbike in the midst of all of this (I've had my license for 3.5 yrs but have procrastinated in getting one) and I think it was one of the best decisions I made because when I ride I feel so free and my mind is cleared. We have had rain the past few days (muchly needed rain) so I have to wait to get back out as the mud needs to dry up. Not too far away and we'll be back to snow and cold.

    Take Care Dawn
