I'm new to this forum; my RE gave me a prescription for Clomid that I'm to start on CD 3. She is a pretty cranky lady that doesn't like to answer questions much, so I've decided to bring them to you experts instead.
From what I've read (from long before this--I research just about everything...) most docs have women take it on CD 5 or 7, don't they? Is there a reason to do it earlier? Benefits? Will I ovulate earlier? I read somewhere that more follies are produced when taken earlier, which concerns me. Is this a myth?
Any info would be immensely appreciated...
Eva ~ Welcome to the clomid board! I hope it does the trick for you!!
When I was on clomid, I was always instructed to begin on CD5. However, I've seen quite a few ladies begin in on CD3. I don't know the differences or benefits of doing it on one day or another. I wish you the best of luck! These ladies are awesome and I'm sure they can provide you with valuable information.
Welcome to the board, I'm not actively trying currently because my So is in Afghanistan but I still hang out on here to see how everyone is doing.
Anyway when I was on the clomid my doctor had me on it days 3 thru 7. I origionally started on days 5 thru 9 , but they wanted to try earlier to see if i had healthier eggs. For me unfortunately I never conceived, but there were other factors involved. Good luck on your journey and hopefully the clomid will work for you.
