Clomid newbie here....saying hello!

:newbie:

Hi! I recognize sooo many of you from board hopping...it's nice to see some familiar faces. I'm Amanda and DH and I are approaching 2 years of TTC. We found out in October that I had "ovulation issues" and were presribed Clomid but had to wait until April to start because of DH's job. So after 6 loooooooooong months I am finally here! Biggrin

I can't tell you how nervous I am- this makes TTC so very "real." We are very much JLIH people so this has taken some getting used to. DH has banned me from Googling anything related to Clomid for fear that I will chicken out with all of the side effects! But I'm here to stay and hopefully this will work for us. My poor LP needs some major help!

Anyway, here's to a Clomid baby! Can't wait to get to know you ladies! Dirol

Welcome to the board Amanda! The ladies here are WONDERFUL and full of advice and information. Don't worry - Clomid is not something to worry about to be honest. If you have questions please ask, don't feel shy. When I started on it 7 months ago my questions were answered with honestly and openness and understanding so when I saw my RE to discuss things regarding IUIs, and next steps I had all my fears gone and questions answered. Hope your stay here is short and you get your BFP sooner than a blink of an eye Smile

Thanks for all the support, you ladies are the BEST!! Biggrin

So my doctor's office called this afternoon and said they want to meet with me tomorrow afternoon (tomorrow would be CD 5 and my Rx is for CD 5-9.) I'm meeting with the nurse and they wouldn't tell me why we needed to meet, just that I needed to bring my temp charts. I'm freaking out! They said NOT to fill the Rx for Clomid I have until AFTER our meeting. OMG! What in the world could they want? After I met with the dr last month I was under the impression I wouldn't need to come in again until my next round of b/w.

I'm just seeing this now... what did your Dr. want to see you for?

hhmmmm, if I had to guess I would say to do a baseline u/s to make sure you don't have any cysts before starting.

You're exactly right, wanted to check my ovaries for any masses and go over the instructions again. They are putting me back on the B6 and gave me VERY strict instuctions on timed intercourse. This is about as un-romantic as you can get!!

LOL Amanda you made me giggle regarding the unromantic timed bding -- you can make it fun, just need to become creative. Scheduled BDing sometimes can be great because your imagination can go free for hours before hand. Don't feel that it's the end of the world, it could be worst.... be happy there is physical contact, with IUIs you're lucky if they warm up the tools and the table you get to lie on has a blanket under the sheet and it's not just the cold metal Wink

For every dark cloud, there is ALWAYS a silver lining Smile
