First Bad Clomid Experience...

Last night I had my first clomid mood swing.....I completely lashed out on my hubby saying things I didn't even mean and then bawled for 2 hours saying how awful I felt about everything....It was the most dramatic over the top display of emotion ever!!! I feel so bad for acting that way, he got up in the middle of my ranting and when I angrily asked where he was going he said to go put spoons in the freezer when I cry so much my eyes are puffy in the morning and he knows I hate to have puffy eyes ( = Any other ladies having the clomid b**** switch?

Clomid always made me moody and my DH would try his best to tolerate it. I could be sweet as anything and the next thing you know I'd be yelling at DH for the most insignificant thing ever. The higher the dose the worse it got too. I always hated it cause it made me feel like I had no control over my emotions. Hope this is the only clomid inudced mood swing you have. The things we women will put ourselves through for a baby!

I know! It was bad and I am only on 50mg! I had my blood drawn today to check progesterone levels so hopefully the tests come out good and they don't need to increase the dose, otherwise I might become a crazed lunatic!

The first time I was on clomid I had huge emotional swings. It was crazy and so unlike myself. DH definitely took the brunt of it. This time I switched to taking them at night instead of in the morning. This time I did not have as many side effects. I don't know if it had anything to do with the time of day I took them or not but it was better for me.

I agree with Jennie, I also had to start taking them at night. By the time the main side effects take control you sleep thru most of it, or at least I did. I did still notice I was more emotional and cried more, but that I can handle. I always felt horrible getting mad over stupid stuff and you feel like you have no control.
