    Default My Intro (pg mentioned)

Hello Ladies: I've been lurking on this site for a little while and decided I should share my story.

I am 29 yrs. old and I have a 5 yr. old little girl from a previous marriage. I was diagnosed with PCOS about 8 years ago and was told then that I would have a difficult time getting pregnant. It only took 4 months to get pregnant after coming off BCP. I had no issues with that pregnancy, I did take Metformin during the 1st trimester. I delivered a beautiful little girl 1 year and 1 month after we got married. 1 year and 3 months later, we were in the middle of a divorce.

My wonderful soul mate and I got married Sept 24, 2012 (and we couldn't be happier!!! ) and we have been trying every since to have our little bundle of joy! I went to see my regular OBGYN in January 2012 and I was put on 1500mg of Metformin. My DH went to see a Urologist. I was ordered a tube dye test (which both tubes are clear and ready to go!) and my DH was ordered bloodwork and a SA. Numbers came back 5MIL per cc. which was totally crushing. Motility and Morphology was also low. The urologist wrote a prescription for 1/4 of Clomid for my DH hoping to bring his numbers up and do a repeat SA a month later. After a month numbers are up to 29MIL per cc and all the other numbers are above normal. DH can only be on 6 months of Clomid and we are on month #2.
As for me, I am not ovulating so I just had my first cycle on 50mg of Clomid. I am currently waiting for O. I am having bad pains and using OPK to detect O. I think I'm close. The only side effects I had from the Clomid was the hot flashes. And holy moly....they were bad. At night, we were sleeping with the window A/C AND a fan and I was still hot! They're starting to get better though.
I know my DH & I haven't been trying as long as some others on this site but we are just as frustrated and are praying that God will allow us to add to our family.
I wish you all the best of luck along your journey and I'm glad I'm able to go on this journey with all of you.

    Baby dust you to all!!

Welcome to the board. Sorry about DHs numbers and the PCOS. Congratulations on marrying your soul mate.

Here is a list of vitamins that also help with sperm:

Pyconogenol - super antioxidant increases sperm quality and morphology. Some say you can take grapeseed extract as well.

    Guava - Improves morphology.

Lycopene - V-8 juice is loaded with it and it improves count and motility.

Vitamin E - improves count, motility, and morphology. 800IU a day. If your DH had high blood pressure, anemia, liver disease or thyroid problems, check with doctor before taking.

Vitamin C - improves morphology and motility. At least 1000 mg per day

CoQ10 - improves morphology, count, and motility 200 mg a day

Zinc - improves count and motility 50 mg a day

Selenium - improves count and morphology 400 mg/ day

    Folic Acid - improves count 400 mcg/day

    L-Arginine - improves count and quality 1000 mg/day

    L- Carnitine - improves motility 1000 mg/day

Flaxseed Oil - improves count and viability 1000 mg/day

    B-12 - improves count 500 mcg/day

Tribulus Terretris - improves acrosome reaction 1250 mg/day

    Multi Vitamin

    Hope this helps. Good luck
