Negative HCG test but high progesterone levels
Hi all. I've been lurking here for several months and finally decided today I should say hi, and I'm hoping you can maybe shed some light on my situation. You all seem so supportive of each other and I feel like I already know you even though you don't know me. :)
A little about me: I'm 31 and my DH is 27. We are TTC our first baby on cycle #12. This is my first cycle on clomid, second cycle doing progesterone suppositories starting 48 hours after I ovulate (I have luteal phase defect) and I'm currently about 10 DPO.
My ARNP wanted me to do a blood test around 7 DPO, but I didn't actually get it done until 9 DPO. I called for my results today and I was told that the HCG was negative for pregnancy but that my progesterone level was very good at 59. I was (or am, depending on how optimistic I'm feeling) especially hopeful this cycle because I thought I was having the famous "triphasic" BBT pattern with a substantial jump in my BBT on 8 DPO (went from 98.5 to 99.1). Since then my temps have stayed in the high 98's. I have not had something like this before, or at least not this obvious, on my previous charts.
I know that the progesterone I'm taking is affecting my BBT and my high lab number, but I'm wondering if there is still hope that the blood test was maybe taken too early to detect enough HCG?
