So I had my CD 12 U/S yesterday and doctor said he couldn't see much just like last time (he couldn't even locate my ovaries). He siad he maybe saw something on the left side but wasn't for sure. He tried both internal and external U/S. THis cycle he had my do 2 Femara pills days 1-5. If it doesn't happen this cycle then next month we'll do 3 Femara pills same days 1-5 and then if we get the same result this month, he's going to send me off to an infertility doctor.
I was so upset yesterday after my appointment but I'm okay now. Something is definitely going on in my ovaries as I've been feeling pains on both sides since around CD 5. I don't know if he's just not as experienced in this whole thing or what. He's only my OB-GYN.
I'm really scared of going to infertility doctor. My insurance doesn't cover any part of infertility treatment and the next step for us would be injections. I know that is just going to be so expensive and quite honestly we'd probably have to put off baby making until we saved enough money for the treatments.
Anyway....I'm still not loosing hope for this month. I had a pos. OPK this time last month but I haven't gotten pos. OPK just yet. Hopefully I will by the weekend.
Thanks if you've made it this far!
Oh, and has anyone heard of Femara or Clomid days 1-5? I've only read a tiny bit about Clomid days 1-5 but that was just some small study. Should I bypass what my doctor says and do days 3-7 or something?
Sorry to hear that you're having such a rough time lately!
Your left ovary is very hard to locate as it is located behind your large intestine, but there should have been no reason for him not to locate the right one.
As for Clomid, I've been on it both ways (CD1-5 or CD 3-7) and I found that I got +OPKs more often on CD 3-7 when taking it. It does vary for everyone, but it is worth a try. Also, you may have to increase your amount for the dose to work as your body gets used to a certain amount and then you won't O ... well that was my experience anyway. I also found that not all OPKs worked for me - I use the clearblue OPKs (not the monitor but just sticks) and find that they are the most accurate for me.
G/L - please KUP on how it all goes for you!

Sorry to read your news...i know it can be so frustrating and sad!! I wish I could give you some anwers to your questions.
So I went for my ultrasound today and after taking clomid CD 5-9. I am CD 12 today and should O sometime Wednesday-Friday. Plan to do first IUI this month.
The ultrasound show 3 eggs on each side!! The bad news is the dr said they are smaller than they should be for the cycle day I am on. I have to go back on Monday for another ultrasound to see if they are growing. I wonder what my chances are that any of them will grow to the right size this month.
Anyone else experience this? Did you have any that ending up being viable?
3 failed IUI's and 3 failed IVF's with OE, 2 failed frozen DE cycle... we are currently doing our "Hail Mary" fresh DE cycle!!
I'm sorry about your bad appt. I want so badly to bash your dr right now but I know that I'd only be beating a dead horse. I don't understand why your gyno instead of a tech is doing the u/s's. I would really ask and push to either have a tech do the u/s or to go see the RE. I really think it's completely inexcusable to not find your ovaries. Even when they are dormant you can still find them. And they clearly have activity in them!! Again sorry that it was so disappointing but I hope you can see that BFP in a few short weeks!!!
