Hi Ladies,
Was just wondering have any of you taken Soy? I know its supposed to act like Clomid, but was wondering if you all have tried it. Its cheaper and found at Walmart, which is a plus.. Supposedly less side effects as well. I have an appt for a HSG next cycle around CD10. My doc wants to put me on clomid 50mg the cycle after that, so at least 2 more months.. I was going to try soy next cycle if this one is a bust.. I was going to do CD 5-9 120-160mg..
I've done a ton of googling and yes you do have to be careful. They say to take it only as you would do clomid.. not late in the cycle as it could cause cycle problems.. like, don't take it later than cd 5-9.. the amount of success stories are ridiculous.. Ive seen them on other boards just not here and was wondering if anyone has tried it..
I tried it! and I am now 20w alongI don't O normally and was waiting for my consult with an OB regarding secondary infertility. It's a long wait here in my province (I was on the urgent list for 8 months after waiting until we'd been trying unsuccessfully for a year in order to be put on the list). I got impatient and decided to give the soy a try. I didn't have any side effects but it did make my temps a bit more jagged looking although there was still a rise.
Good luck! Oh and as for dosage I took 200mg days 3 to 7.
I'm trying Soy this month...I was really concerned because of the negative possibilities. I do usually O, but sometimes delayed, and I was thinking maybe they aren't very strong. I suppose we shall see! If I O this week, even if I don't get pregnant, I will try it again, because that will have moved my O average day up a full week, closer to the "normal" 28 day cycles.
