Another Wool Thread

Your other (terribly cute) wool thread makes me want to know more. I know nothing about wool, but will have a "winter baby" so it seems like a good thing to use.

So, wool users please enlighten me on this cute cloth diapering option. Thanks!

I don't use wool as diaper covers anymore. It is just for the cutness factor! Smile I changed my stash for 90% AIO's so, I am not in need for covers.

Buttt...one upon a time I did use them for covers and they work great! What makes wool so wonderful is that its breathable, and naturally antibacterial and wool wicks the moisture away from the diaper by absorbing it. Taking care of wool isn't as scary as it seems. I know I was overwhelmed at first. You don't have to worry about washing them everytime they are used unless they get poo on them. Washing and lanolizing is super easy too. I liked to buy the wool wash that has lanolin mixed in (lanolin makes wool waterproof). All you gotta do is stick your woolies in a tub or sink with luke warm water (never hot as this will felt your wool), stick a few squirts of the wool wash in the water and swish your wool around, let them soak for 30ish mins, squeeze access water out, and lay flat to dry.

Thanks for the info! Cuteness is a big thing encouraging me to cloth diaper in the first place, but your wool pictures are SO cute.
