I got some Burt's Bees diaper rash cream at my baby shower. Anyone know if it's cloth-friendly?
I "know" someone (not well at all) who said it was, but I wouldn't use it with cloth diapers personally without a liner. It wouldn't be an issue at first, but it would build up over time.
It got 2 of 4 stars (4 stars being cloth safe) on Pinstripes and Polkadots.
I love Burt's Bees products, just not that one. I used it with disposables before I switched to cloth and it didn't do much for us at all for rashes. But it was fine for everyday use with disposables.
Thanks! I'm sure I will be able to use it for something, but I just wanted to make sure it would be safe for cloth before trying to use it...and wondering if I need to order something else to have on hand just in case.
I use CJs BUTTer and love it. I've heard good things about Angel Baby too (I think Erin uses that?). I think it's helpful to have something cloth safe on hand because so many things can irritate their bottoms. I don't use it unless there's something going on, so one container lasts awhile!
Angel Baby Bottom Balm is the bomb.
I second that. I got some Angel Baby Bottom Balm and even though we're not in cloth anymore I still love it. Natural and effective.
Burt's caused buildup over time in our cloth. I would definitely not use it without a liner.
I use it without issue because you need so little and in like 2 changes the rash was gone and we did not need it for weeks if that so using it so little we never got a build up on the diapers.
I am the worst for cloth friendly creams, half the people you talk to around here tell me there is no such thing anyway. One trick I have been told is put some cornflour over the top, it stops it getting on your nappies. I also use a fleece liner with a disposable liner over it on every nappy (I was the disposable liners unless they are too gross as well)
I used it with cloth and had issues, so I either use a liner with it or just use a little. I use Angel Baby and CJ's BUTTer spray w/o a liner.
