    Default Butt stuff ?

Okay so what kind of butt paste/ ointment is recommend for use with cloth diapers that doesn't coat the diapers?

are there any you all recommend?

Can I use Bag balm? my mom has used this since i can remember, and she swears by it, but if it wont work well with cloth then I want to find an alternative.

Oh and what kind of nipple cream works the best?

I want to have everything i need.

    Thanks

Here's a great list of what to use and what to avoid:

We use Angel Baby Bottom Balm. I LOVE this stuff. DD has never really had more than a little redness for less than 24 hours because cloth rocks. This stuff clears up any little redness that she does get in a few hours if not by the next diaper change. It's a little pricey but I use it so rarely and it works so well it's worth it. I have three tubs. One lives at day care, one on the change table, and one in the diaper bag. Two of them are nearly full and the third just ran out.

In the early days, I was using just plain water with my wipes. She had a little redness all the time. Then I started adding a few drops of calendula oil to the water and it went away immediately.

Great link! I totally failed on worrying enough about this, and ruined (well okay not ruined but am paying with a LOT of stripping work) all my diapers recently.

I use a mix of CJ's BUTTer & Angel Baby Bottom Balm. There have been a few times over the years (we have used cloth on all 6 of our kids, the oldest is 12) where we've used sudocream or triple paste which are NOT diaper friendly. In those cases I used a cheap fleece liner (bought some on clearance & cut them out) to protect the diaper & then just threw the fleece away at diaper changes.

I've been using CJ's BUTTer too. If I ever run out of my current tub (which isn't going to happen anytime soon b/c you end up using so little), I might try Angel Baby Bottom just so I can compare the two out of curiosity.

As far as nipple cream goes for BFing, I stuck with Lansinoh Lanolin. It's thick, but it works! I still haven't used up one tube of that stuff. Discovered that it's great for really dry skin too (it cleared up a dry skin rash of DS's)!

Agreed about the Lanisoh. And then if you barely end up using any on your boobs like I did, you can use it for diaper rash cream (but use a liner)

For nipple cream I used Palmers nursing butter until my samples ran out (only recently) and for really bad issues I bought a jar of plain lanolin because it was much cheaper than the lanisoh.
I am the worst person to ask about bum creams, I use a disposable liner and a fleece liner and use whatever because finding CD safe cream where I live is impossible.

Thanks for all the good advice, i think i will just have to splurge on safe cd creams, since i really don't want any extra work, especially being a first timer.
