Cloth Diaper Storage (pics please!)

Because I'm nosy, describe/post a picture of how you store your cloth diapers and other diapering supplies.
Where do you keep them? And along with that where do you typically change your LO(s)?

Here's Aiden's room. I do 99% of his diaper changes here (strapped in and distracted with a board book).

Here's a close up of where his cloth diapers reside. The top drawer contains the pockets. The middle drawer holds a dozen prefolds (larges). The bottom drawer contains extra inserts and his night diapers (sandy's fitteds).

On top of the drawers sit a JJ Cole diaper caddy. The far right pocket stores a 2nd pail liner. Next to it are a stack of cloth wipes (I use the sprayer instead of soaking the wipes). On the left I keep snappies and diaper covers.

Well this is from before she actually arrived, but it is our dipe storage! The covers and wool are in the 3 drawers on the left, flats and misc. liners are in the cabinet, the basket is now overflowing w/ fitteds, the top drawer on the right is nighttime dipes, and the two bottom on the right are prefolds. The only drawer that is not really dipe related is the center, which holds socks and baby legs.

Instead of the disposable wipes, we have a wipe warmer w/ cloth wipes!

I like seeing how everyone else stores their fluff! I'm doing diaper laundry tomorrow morning, so I'll take a picture once it's restocked.

Ooh, great thread idea! Plus, I've been on a pic taking spree today because I'm bored and it's freaking hot and windy outside.

Here is Teagan's diaper station. She still sleeps in our room at night so her room truly is just a diaper station and toy repository. What, you might ask, is that horrid thing hanging above her change table? Oh that's just a demented painting that my demented cousin-in-law painted many years ago and that DH refuses to get rid of. It's been hanging there since before this room was Teagan's. Teagan loves the darn thing and I'm too lazy to move/hide it. It will be coming down soon though as I'm afraid it'll start to give her nightmares. The thing gives ME nightmares.

Anyway, on to the fun stuff. We keep a container with wet wipes, her EC potty, and a book for distraction on the table at all times. Anything else is likely to get grabbed and chewed on so we keep it sparse. In the space below that, we have some dyed premie PFs (for burp rags/all purpose baby juice catchers), some red edge prefolds that we still use trifolded when we're pretty confident she's done pooping for the day. They were also good for nakey time up until a few weeks ago when she became mobile. Below that are some GIANT prefolds that I hope we'll never have to use.

Top drawer: All her goops and gops, dry wipes, covers, liners (Maiden Mills), and a package of disposable wipes that we've had for about 4 years.

Middle drawer: All the diapers that fit her at the moment. Brown edge organic GMD PFs to the left and some brand of fitteds that I loooove to the right.

Bottom drawer: Preemie and Small PFs for night time/long car ride stuffing and some random flats. There's also some tie nappies in there. I've never actually used them. They are stinking cute but they must take an origami artist to get them on properly.

BONUS pic of all my (currently clean) covers that fit DD! Starting from the top left and going clockwise we have:
2 Thirsties Duo Wraps, size 2
3 Mommy's Touch OS, velcro
1 Mommy's Touch OS, snaps (not truly a OS IMO, no rise adjustment)
2 Softwraps, size L
4 Econobum OS (what I refer to as "painting at daycare" covers)
1 Blueberry OS, snaps (the other 2 are in the other thread)
2 WAHM pockets that give DD a rash unless I use them as covers, size M
2 Wiggleworm Bottoms, snaps size L

And while I'm at it, can anyone tell me what kind of diaper this is? I got them second hand and the woman wasn't sure what they were. I like them a lot. They are super easy to get on when DD is in a squirmy mood and they fit her fabulously right now.

Nice prefold stash Erin! You've got some nice covers. Mine are all boring compared to yours! Smile

Freya, I love the color of the cabinet you use!

I was wondering about that painting. I think it would give me nightmares too. Smile

Here's a picture of our diaper station. It's an old baker's cabinet that we've re-purposed. Ignore the background. We moved and are about to redo the room. They still sleep in our room with us, so we really only need the space for diaper changing. (It's the only place we change diapers at home. Except when they first get out of the bath, it's done in the bathroom.)

We only use pockets. I keep all of the clean diapers pre-stuffed and stacked on the top two shelves. There are also some NB flats that we lay underneath them while changing to catch any leaks that might occur before the new diaper is on, some fleece liners, and our hemp inserts on the middle shelf behind the diaper ointments. The bottom "shelf" is where we keep our bucket of water and dry wipes. I keep meaning to buy a spray bottle when we go to Walmart, but always forget. The basket holds our "pee-pee" shields for little man (cheap washcloths that we drape over him to keep from being peed on), a few backup sposies for "just in case", lotion, and a distraction toy-- currently the pink seahorse you see sticking up. When one is not available I just hand them a washcloth to chew on. The big cabinet underneath holds their diaper bag, the rest of the sposies, and a few odds and ends that aren't in use yet-- ie safety kit for cabinets and electrical sockets, extra shampoo, etc. The bottom drawer on the right has extra inserts that aren't in use yet, or that are now too small, as well as their swim diapers and backup wet bag. The other two drawers have extra pacifiers, teething toys, and grooming items. The top left cabinet has extra blankets and crib sheets. The cabinet underneath has cotton balls, q-tips, and alcohol. I don't have to open that door to get to it though. I can reach in from the side next to the basket.

What a great way to repurpose, Danielle! Love it.

(Yeah, I'm trying to pretend that I didn't see that creepy art work that Erin has.)

We change diapers where ever-- usually in the living room or on our bed. I have a diaper caddy in my living room that holds a few dipes, wipes, and all the creams and such. And this is where we store the main bulk of diapers:

receiving and baby blankets, cloth wipes, and burp cloths:

liners and night-time dipes:

diapers:

and toys:

(These were the same pix I used when sharing his nursery, thus the descriptions on some of the pix.) Smile

The diaper pail is in the laundry room which is right around the corner from the living room.

So do you ladies pre-stuff or stuff your dipes when you change? I'm noticing that the piles are so flat, I have mine all pre-stuffed b/c I thought it would be hectic stuffing it while I'm changing him.

I always prestuff, I don't put them away until they are stuffed. Definitely much easier that way, some diapers might be thinner depending on the inserts used. I know hemp/bamboo is thinner
I'll have to take pictures later this week, I tore DS' room apart this week going through and sorting clothes so I never even put diapers away this week and everything is a mess. Plus we'll probably be getting the baby's drawer cart. DS2 will be in our room for a while so we're getting something to store his diapers/clothes in in our room. Right now DS' are mostly on his changing table though we have some in plastic drawers in his closet.

I prestuff with one insert. I only add a second one as needed. In my picture over half of my pockets were in the diaper pail. That top drawer is stuffed when they're clean. If I don't arrange the pockets in a certain way, they don't fit!

Its an ATD (All Together Diaper) I think. They have fitteds and AIOs. I've also seen them called OsoCozy or maybe that's what they just call a certain style. I'm not sure where to get them.
ETA: here is a picture but it looks like they don't carry them anymore. http://nickisdiapers.com/catalog.php?category=637

Thanks! That looks like them. I guess they don't make these with the snaps anymore. Bummer. Teagan is at least the third baby to go through them and they are holding up very well.

Erin - we have the same changing table!

I don't have a pic right now, but the top drawer is all pockets, some of the fitteds and a couple covers (he doesn't really wear those anymore, not sure if they would fit, but I haven't put them away), if you open the side door, the top shelf is extra wet bags (pail size and travel size) and extra inserts.

I love looking at diaper storage. Biggrin Good idea to share!

You have to remember that I had two in diapers until a few months ago, so I have way more than we need. I could go almost a week between washing if it wasn't bad for the diapers.

Anyway, here's where most of the diapers are kept. It's a cameron shelving unit from Pottery Barn Kids that I got with my bonus bucks after buying nursery furniture. I love it because I like to see my pretties. The shelves hold pockets, cloth wipes, and butt spray. I change her on the side there since she's a mover and not a baby anymore. I always change her upstairs because it forces me to get a bit of exercise.

Here's what's inside the bottom drawer - hemp inserts, extra pockets that I don't use, lots of wet bags of various sizes, liners, extra supplies.

I haven't gotten into using fitteds and covers with C yet, but here's a picture of her fitteds basket that I keep in the closet (another basket, not pictured, has covers and extra inserts and misc that I'm not currently using).

Jackie, I love the color combo in Aiden's room. It all looks SO organized!
Erin, you have a LOT of covers but I guess if you do prefolds it's good to have a lot! Oh and you're right, that painting is super-creepy!
Danielle, I LOVE that you repurposed the baker's cabinet like that!
Becca, you are SO prepared! Can we say, nesting?! And yes, I prestuff my diapers at the same time. I'm OCD about which inserts go in which diapers so it would just be a ton of trouble to stuff them as I went.
Plus if DH ever changes diapers, he would have NO idea what to stuff them with. (But he rarely ever does, lol.)

I almost always change DD in her room, just easier since everything is there.

Here is the whole set up - diaper pail on the left, the diaper hanger thingie came with the changing table (used) and I keep prefolds, lotion, and diaper cream in there.

Close up of bins: On the top - pockets, covers, and fitteds/nighttime dipes with a sposie wipes container filled with dry washcloths. You can see a bag of sposies behind the last bin on the top. On the bottom - small changing pads, burp cloths, nursing cover (neither of the last two I ever use), extra inserts and dipes I'm trying to sell, large changing pad covers.

Then to keep things in perspective, right next to the changing table is a dresser and I keep some changing stuff there like more lotion and creams, powder, hand sanitizer, tissues, etc., and the bottle of wipes solution for the wipes.

We use one of the boys dressers as a change table. The top drawer is the diaper drawer.

Wipes, cream and back-up sposies.

And just for fun, my indoor clothesline in our spare room Smile

Mine is empty at the moment because they are downstairs drying (still, damn cold weather overnight) because I washed pretty much everything, clean or dirty to give them a good sunning after our washing machine dramas and sitting for an extra couple of days and my ones for the day are in the nappy bag.

The box closest to the wall holds emergency sposies(only leftovers from when we were away and the washing machine breakdown), fluffies that don't fit anymore, pilchers, my spray for the nappy bucket and nappy sacks for if we have a big mess to clean I put the wipes in those instead of straight in the bin. The middle box usually holds all my pockets and the end box all my flat folds. The box on the change table holds wipes both cloth and disposable, wipes solution, creams, nappy liners etc. The green hanging thing was my storage at our old place because there was a hook right next to the change table, but here it's useless as the ceiling is too high.

Vicki, I had lots of free time while pregnant to make things, decorate the room, and rearrange things a billion times. Lol

Wendy, what a unique changing table!

TFS everyone.

I just did our stash over for the new baby today. I'll have to take some pics. I have a tall old fashioned dresser on wheels. Heath's stuff is not stuffed so I have the top drawer of empty pockets and 2nd one of all kinds of inserts. Then I have the 3rd drawer with stuffed infant diapers. And the bottom drawer is underwear for Tessa and Peter with training pants when Heath is ready. I also keep the swimsuits in that drawer. It (the dresser) has 2 half size drawers at the top, one has the older kids belts and one has cloth wipes. I send a big kid for a diapers and they bring it to me and I change on the floor in whatever room the little one and I are in.

Our cloth diaper setup: Second row is our flats and wipe warmer plus diaper balm, pail "freshener" and snappis. 3rd row is cloth wipes, wipe bits, extra covers, fitteds, and our rags for burping.

Our changing pad is on top of Addy's dresser (I specifically bought one to be the right size for that) and the top drawer is dedicated diapering supplies. It's been great until recently, when I had to squash everything to make room to move the box of wipes, water bottle, and creams, etc into the drawer too. It was on top near her head, and she started reaching over her head to grab stuff while I was changing her. So I moved it near her feet, and she kept kicking it off into the laundry. After I lost a whole tube of antibiotic ointment and a whole tube of Burts Bees (not to mention having some interesting smelling laundry!) I finally gave up and cleared the area Smile

I keep only the stuff being currently used in heavy rotation in there, since it's not all that much space. Old diapers are in one of those hanging cloth shelves in the closet.

Somebody had to post a diaper station that isn't picture perfect organized. I'll do it!

This picture shows my one - yes, one!- drawer of diapers. The 2 dozen prefolds, a couple of Thirsties covers, 2 snappies, a handfull of AIOs and inserts, two small wetbags, and one large wetbag. Yep, that's my entire stash.
Photobucket

This picture shows my fully functional diaper cleaning area. I use the diaper spraying to spray the loose poop into the tub (don't worry, I move the bath toys first) or the thick poop into the toilet. Then the dipe goes into the diaper pail (the metal trash bin) until I launder, which is about every other day. I have a super saver washer, so it fits only about a dozen diapers at a time.

Here is our storage area (keep in mind this is before my DD was born and we are almost due with our second). It hasn't changed much but we now use the 2 shelves (I have a rotation of over 70 dipes) and I pre-stuff so they usually lie flat and don't look as "pretty".

I keep all the cream etc. on the bookshelf now and the crib has moved so there is more changing room. Diaper pails are against the wall with the window.

Bumping it up to see if anyone else wants to add! I know this thread helped me rethink my storage just a bit! Smile
