Well, I don't have much advice for you because I think we're also in that 3%. Adair's just SO sensitive, she gets rashes once every few weeks now that we're in sposies, but before if she had one clear day I was thrilled. And yes, I tried EVERYTHING. Just simply every single thing anyone could think of, and nothing worked. Even hardcore creams, liners, changing really frequently, different fabrics, different detergents, etc, etc, etc.
I love CDing and am so glad that at least I did it for her first year, but I think once we introduced solids and now especially that she's eating anything and everything, her sensitivity issues just exploded. To me, it wasn't worth the constant pain, sitting in her own waste with open, bleeding sores all the time, etc. I also managed to find a super cheap brand that is at least chlorine free, plant based, etc.
http://www.comfortsforbaby.com/touch-of-nature Yes, I know they still are disposables and not nearly as good as cloth in any arena, but if we're stuck in sposies at least it's the "better" kind without breaking the bank.
The good part is, she's REALLY into the potty, and is starting to tell me when she needs to poop a lot of the time. I think she's going to be really easy to PT, so we are gently moving in that direction as fast as possible without getting pushy (I want to preserve her interest in it, not make it into a battle!) Getting out of diapers as early as possible would just solve the whole thing.
So, bottom line...hugs. You are not alone!
