Name: Jackie
LO(s)/ages: Aiden/9 months
Why do you (or want to) use cloth diapers?: Started off because I'm cheap and didn't want to keep spending money on disposables when the prices were going up. Now I'm addicted to the cuteness, in love with not having poop explosions up the back, and enjoying the fact that I don't have to worry about ever running out of diapers!
Most used diaper: Kawaii minky bamboo
Diaper you want to try (if money was not a factor lol): I just got flats to try and a couple of swaddlebees/blueberry pocket diapers which were on my wish list.
Any frustrations with cloth right now?: For once I think I'm okay! We're got a good night solution and no stinkies (unless I wait 4 days to do diapers lol).
Got a recent fluff picture to share?: Smile

Why do you (or want to) use cloth diapers?: Initially it was for environmental reasons. Money factored into it as well but more for DH than me because I still want to spend lots of money on diapers ;). Once they started arriving the cuteness factor took over. I'm also EXTREMELY stubborn and proud about having only used maybe a dozen disposables!
Most used diaper: Prefolds and a variety of covers
Diaper you want to try (if money was not a factor lol): I think I've reached diaper nirvana with my prefolds but I keep buying random pockets Blum 3
Any frustrations with cloth right now?: Nope!
Got a recent fluff picture to share?:
Getting into trouble in the kitchen cabinets in her desert cover. Very appropriate. Not sure where it came from.

Why do you (or want to) use cloth diapers?: Because they're adorable
Most used diaper: BG or Kawaii's
Diaper you want to try (if money was not a factor lol): Thirsties Duo wraps this time around
Any frustrations with cloth right now?: Our son has outgrown them so we've been using disposables. I am looking forward to using our diapers on the new baby!

Oh my goodness Stephanie! What a little peanut!

Name: Mandi
LO(s)/ages: Cianna (7), Sofia (5), Josiah (19 months), Baby Boy Wink coming soon
Why do you (or want to) use cloth diapers?: money, that's the biggest factor everything else is just a bonus
Most used diaper: I use our diapers pretty equally and since I went for variety when building DS' stash I really don't think there's any one I use more. I do prefer our Smartipants over all of our other diapers
Diaper you want to try (if money was not a factor lol): GroVia newborn AIO in planes print Wink I've been eyeing it up forever now, but dh is still saying no way for now. I also want to try the Bummies Tini Fit. My mind is on newborn diapers at the moment
Any frustrations with cloth right now?: DH? Lol He's pretty much it, I know he's just keeping an eye on why we are doing cloth in the first place (money!) but it's frustrating. Nighttime is still frustrating, not so much for leaks but he gets a rash whenever I try.
Got a recent fluff picture to share?: nope, DS doesn't get to run around in a diaper often because he has a recent habit of taking off his diaper any chance he gets...vecro or snaps, it doesn't matter

Why do you (or want to) use cloth diapers?: cost mostly, but now that I have started using them on DD2 I am loving the cuteness.

Most used diaper: Kawaii crossover square tab

Diaper you want to try (if money was not a factor lol): loving my Kawaiis so just want more of those. Although, anxiously awaiting my Sunbabies to arrive to see how much I like those too.

Any frustrations with cloth right now?: Just that I don't have enough of them (still building the stash). Can't wait until my next order arrives.

Got a recent fluff picture to share?: No, sorry.

Why do you (or want to) use cloth diapers?: Started when DD1 was on the way, I did not like the idea of all the chemicals on her bum. Also like saving so much money, been a lot with 3 kids.
Most used diaper: Right now pockets, have a mix of them, and I still really like well fitting prefolds and covers.
Diaper you want to try (if money was not a factor lol): I finally tried a RaR, wanted to for a long time, and I really like it, poor boy got a purple diaper, lol.
Any frustrations with cloth right now?: My DS has very sensitive skin, so tons of rinsing and I can't do cotton all the time, he does better with fleece inners and it has to be fleece for over night.
Got a recent fluff picture to share?: I have a wool picture Biggrin

Just the couple of Bitti Tuttos so far. I've been waiting until after tomorrow's anatomy scan because I know if its a girl I'll end up buy girly covers no matter how much I tell myself I'm going to stick with gender neutral. lol

Why do you (or want to) use cloth diapers?: I use them to be more gentle to my kiddos bottoms and the enviroment- plus they're WAY cuter than disposibles. And I credit CD's to helping Ava potty train shortly after she turned 2.
Most used diaper: I favor my BG 3.0's
Diaper you want to try (if money was not a factor lol): I want some fun patterns. All our CD's are soild. I'm a fairly boring CDer.

Thanks for making me feel welcome! As for DH, I didn't know how to control the urine smell when we were CD. I have since done some more research and did a really good strip on the diapers so we will give it another go. I hated hearing him call our DD stinky. Babies do not stink Sad I also think it was a convience thing for him (even though I washed and we used pockets - which were prestuffed). Men

I can't wait to find out what you're having!!! Besides, who says boys can't wear pink?! Aiden has two of the Kawaii red peach diapers that look pink. And someone told me that the Blueberry minky that I bought that's chocolate with blue dots is girly. Lol

I hope you don't have the smell this next time, so he can't use that excuse. If you do end up having any problems, let us know. This board has a very useful ladies that will hopefully be able to help you troubleshoot any issues. Smile
I had a smell issue with my fitteds. They just don't like to rinse as well as my other diapers! The detergent build up causes the problems.

I've just started lurking agian after a couple of years away. We're having another baby in December, and this time it's a girl, so I'm back to shopping and researching and all the fun that goes with it.

Name: Sabra
LO(s)/ages: DS 8, DS 5, DS 3 and edd 12/17/11
Why do you (or want to) use cloth diapers?: Started because they're cute, stayed with it because I think they are awesome Smile
Most used diaper: Nothing right now, since all outside the womb are out of diapers. With my last it was my own-made fitteds and wool. With my first two, I loved pockets, especially the original Wonderoos
Diaper you want to try (if money was not a factor lol): I'm interested in the GoVias, but still on the fence on whether or not to purchase.
Any frustrations with cloth right now?: That I have a ridiculous amount of boy CD and wool to sell and have no desire to do all the work to do it
Got a recent fluff picture to share?: No one's been in fluff for more than six months around here, so nothing too recent. But this is one of my favorites from last fall when my youngest was still in diapers

Why do you (or want to) use cloth diapers?: DS1 was/isn't in cloth (except at night) we switched because a) Isaac has eczema and b) saving money.
Most used diaper: We use Fuzzibunz and Sunbabys equally the most
Diaper you want to try (if money was not a factor lol): I do wish we had more Rumparooz. I'd like to try Blueberrys (and their trainers), Charlie Bananas, and I wish I could afford to have some TotsBots in my stash. ETA I'd also really like to try GoGreen's Champ diaper.
Any frustrations with cloth right now?: Not really

Why do you (or want to) use cloth diapers?: In the beginning it was all about cost, and what was best for baby. Now the cuteness factor plays a major role too. And like someone said in a pp, I wouldn't want to wear paper underwear...
Most used diaper: Sunbaby. They are the ones we have the most of.. Although, our one Kawaii, our 2 RaR, and our 2 BG all work very well.
Diaper you want to try (if money was not a factor lol): If money wasn't a factor I'd have all kinds of prints/brands to try. Right now I'm eying this print. And then this group has some excellent looking geometric patterns toward the bottom. I think they might be minky.
Any frustrations with cloth right now?: I bought some hemp inserts used off of eBay... I LOVE that they work great over night, but they are very smelly once wet. I'm thinking they might need to be boiled?
Got a recent fluff picture to share?: None in almost 2 months! It will be my mission to take some tomorrow! Smile

Why do you (or want to) use cloth diapers?: We started EC, and I often tossed out unsoiled sposies, so I decided to try cloth. We do it part time.
Most used diaper: I have 1 BG and 5 Sunny baby
Diaper you want to try (if money was not a factor lol): All the other brands you speak of here.
Any frustrations with cloth right now?: I wish I had more.
Got a recent fluff picture to share?: I don't have any direct pictures.
But this is the reason I started cd:

Why do you (or want to) use cloth diapers?: Environment, Money, Chemicals (DH and I agree on all three of those, but might order them differently in terms of importance. He's insistent mostly because of the environmental factor, while I still think that the massively increased water usage--not just to wash but also to grow the cotton, etc--does cut down on the "green" factor of cloth, especially living in a desert! But...still better than sposies.) And yes, now I think they're really cute too Smile
Most used diaper: Flip covers with GMD PFs these days
Diaper you want to try (if money was not a factor lol): The really awesome, soft homemade ones around here
Any frustrations with cloth right now?: Stink and rash, I think because of our HORRIBLE hard water Sad Working on it...getting on top of the rash problem, at least. Still dealing with stink, though.
Got a recent fluff picture to share?:

Louise, what a cute EC picture!

Danielle, if you try the Alva Baby diapers be sure and keep up posted on what you think. Your thread about the Sun Baby diapers is super helpful. I know people are always looking for affordable ways to CD for cute and not everyone is into flats and prefolds. Smile

Most used diaper: I have bought some Sunbaby diapers and let a friend try them out Smile
Diaper you want to try (if money was not a factor lol): Some cover/prefold combination that would be good for newborns
Any frustrations with cloth right now?: There's so much out there! I feel like so much depends on how your particular baby is shaped and how much they weigh.
Got a recent fluff picture to share?: None yet, but I'll be taking some very soon. Smile

Why do you (or want to) use cloth diapers?: fewer chemicals, contain bf poop, and of course cuteness
Most used diaper: Eek, I love so many! I love Little Boppers AI2s since they are knit prints and don't need covers. They are my favorites probably followed by Ellie Mae Baby fitteds and Weehuggers with flip organic inserts
Diaper you want to try (if money was not a factor lol): I just ordered the new Bum-ware OS AIO despite being in stash nirvana. I loved the sized BWX for DS once he was walking and in jeans more so I couldn't pass the OS version up.
Any frustrations with cloth right now?: nope

Most used diaper: With DD we used BG3.0s and sized FBs. This time I'm trying a bunch of different brands. Also, I'm only getting snaps this time, which I'm very excited about. I hate aplix.
Diaper you want to try (if money was not a factor lol): I've bought a lot of different ones for this little guy. I'm very excited to try the Blueberry minkies and GroVia AIOs. I would like to get a few RaRs too.
Any frustrations with cloth right now?: Nope. DD is PTed and this little one isn't here yet, so I'm just eying my pretty stash debating when I should get it washed up and ready.
Got a recent fluff picture to share?: SmileNothing recent, but here's an oldie of DD in cloth:

Most used diaper: Blueberry
Diaper you want to try (if money was not a factor lol): Maybe some wool... I'm pretty happy w/ what we have right now though.
Any frustrations with cloth right now?: Trying to figure out our yeast rashes. I think I've figured it out, and we're not struggling at the moment.
Got a recent fluff picture to share?: SmileYep, quite a bit since it's been so hot.

Why do you (or want to) use cloth diapers?: It's more economical, it's better for my DD, it's better for the environment and it's cute! Why wouldn't I cloth diaper? Biggrin
Most used diaper: I use my Kawaii's and BG's equally, oh and GroVia AIO's everyday for naps
Diaper you want to try (if money was not a factor lol): I have stayed away from the FSOT sites b/c I was always tempted. So, I can honestly say I don't even know!
Any frustrations with cloth right now?: Not really. We had two days in a row where she absolutely FLOODED her diaper while I was out. They leaked all over her shorts and her stroller. I was letting her sip on my water so I guess it all just came out at once.
Got a recent fluff picture to share?: I don't know if I have any recent ones. This one is from about a month and a half ago. She's in a minky Kawaii with pink hearts.

Most used diaper: I don't know yet...

Diaper you want to try (if money was not a factor lol): I'm not sure about this one yet either.

Any frustrations with cloth right now?: Not yet...just the fact that I have some and can't use them yet!

I ordered a dozen Sunbaby diapers online and I bought 3 bum genius, 1 Kawaii, and 2 Grovia shells from a friend. The BG, Kawaii, and SB are all pocket diapers. I would still like to buy some prefolds and additional covers so that I can try them out too, but I figured pockets would be easiest for DH and daycare. I am going to try not to go too crazy until I have a chance to try some of them out. Hopefully then I will be able to choose 1 or 2 brands that I like best and stock up!
