Default HUGE CD storage fail - need advice

My stash from DS was not stored properly and everything was wet and moldy when I found it. AAGHHH!!! My wool (thankfully only two pieces) is totally ruined, but everything seems salvegeable. I do need to restitch a few pieces of velcro on, but that's easy. I washed everything in the sanitary cycle a few times and I can't see any mold anymore. They still smell moldy though. Ladies, this is a like a half a stash of diapers, I am NOT giving up on them. What do you recommend? Boiling? Sun? Bleach? AAAGHHHH!!!!

I'm not one to often recommend bleach, but I'd be bleaching them like crazy!!!

The wool ones might be able to be saved. What is wrong with them?

I used lemon juice (diluted in water and soaked them) and the sun to get rid of mold on a few "forgotten" dipes. I hung them on the line for a few days then washed to remove any residual lemon.

They're totally eaten up, like HUGE holes in them. One of them has the crotch completely eaten out of it.

Oh no! Do you know how they got wet?

I would bleach. I don't usually recommend that either but it's the best solution for mold. Good wash with bleach and then wag with detergent and then tons of rinsing and sun to dry if its warm enough.

Thanks ladies. We're ALMOST there. I washed them with bleach and it made a HUGE difference. Then washed them again with Dawn to sort of strip them. They actually feel really nice and clean now and individually, they smell great. However, when I put them all away, I got a bit of a musty smell in the area where I'm storing them. I'm off to find a good detergent today and I'm going to wash them again. I'm waiting for a good day to put them in the sun, but it's been wet and gloomy for the past few weeks. I think they're going to be fine with a little more TLC.
