    Default Newborn covers

Beccasweet is giving me a few from her girl, but said I'll probably want a couple more. What are you favorites? Anything I should try? Anything you hate? Not expecting a super small newborn here. Just normal to slightly big if she decides to take after her brother.

With DS I've used Kawaii (till the pull stopped working), Blueberry (which we love for bigger babies and now), and Thirsties duo (which work but not in love with them). Oh we did have a used sized Thirsties and an Econobum visit here for a bit too, but they moved on. lol. I'm not too familiar with sized covers obviously.

ProWraps are great for when they still have the cord. I think they fit T up until about 9 lbs. So, 2 weeks They are a real no frills cover and they're cheap.

I loved LOVED my Flips. They're OS and held up great. I didn't start until the cord fell off (1 week?) because I didn't want to cover the stump, but after that they worked just fine. (DD was 8 lbs at birth)

Okay, I have 4 xs thirsties and 2 prowraps from Beccasweet. Any other good newborn covers that y'all recommend? I'm good on one size but want something that is better for newborns to try out. They'll get more use with future kids between us two anyways. lol

That's all I used. Really, 6 will get you through. They will last through several more kids because you use them for so little time. Plus, you really can reuse them a lot more than you can reuse covers on older kids. I swear my covers are good for one use before they stink to high heaven of rancid toddler pee. I keep forgetting to go digging through my diaper stash in the shed to find my backup covers. Its hot and there are definitely spiders in there. Maybe I'll send DH ....

Becky said she hated the prowraps, so she just used the thirsties which 4 isn't enough. I think I'm gonna see what unique covers I can find (maybe wool??? lol) at the amazing CD store in Raleigh since I'm gonna be there for the day Saturday.

Do you rotate covers with Teagan? I find just rotating through two covers with Aiden when doing prefolds and flats help. I just let the used one air out and it's has zero smell by next change. We only have 2 covers that I love (blueberry) and 2 covers that I tolerate (size 2 duos). The rest I hate right now (though one is due to just needing to be retired lol).

All kiddos are different of course, but I only had 4 covers plus one backup crappy one and that was fine. Although DD didn't become a super pooper until she discovered solid food.

    And yes, rotating totally helps!

I rotated unless the one she was wearing at the time hadn't really been touched. They never stank. Stinky covers only started recently. I can maybe get two uses out of a cover. Its almost certain it'll need washing if the cover sits in the wet bag they're sent home from school in. Stinking toddler pee.

I loved my xsm thirsties covers when DD was wee. The leg gussets are great!
