    Weird.

I do understand the swan diving--Addy has her moments--but I usually get the diaper ready before I even try putting it anywhere near her. And I've been lucky that she is easily distracted from her initial impulse to squirm and flail by being given something super interesting that she never sees at any other time. There are a couple of items I keep right by the diaper table for that specific purpose, such as a long string of about fifty different charms and beads. SHINY!
When I lay the liners down, they pretty much exactly cover the FLIP insert- I don't fold any part of anything. And DD is a squirmer- she acts as if you're trying to kill her when you change her diaper these days- but even on the times when she doesn't squirm as much, I think the liner and everything inside just shifts a bit when she moves. So yeah, usually poo that gets off is mostly just around the edges. And her poo isn't liquid, but it is definitely often that peanut buttery consistency and it just gets everywhere. I don't know if it makes a difference either that she is very skinny. I put the snaps as tight as I can, without leaving indents in her body, but, the body of the diaper is still not quite loose, but roomy on her- so things have room to shift as she moves I guess. Maybe you have a better fit, or maybe it's that your DD is still smaller, and the liners are bigger.

There are different size liners as well though... now that I think of it actually, I think we're still using the smalls, and the larges are a bit bigger. I guess maybe I should save the rest of these smalls for the next baby, and move to the larges.

Yeah, Adair's skinny too, but we don't use Flip liners, we use a trifolded small PF, which is a lot thicker than an insert, so that probably makes a difference. And I'm using the large Bummis liners--they're pretty enormous.

I got the larger size liners out (also Bummis), and I see what you mean now. They are big. Hopefully we'll have better luck with these than we did with the smalls. This is what happens when you live abroad and have to buy things months and months ahead of time to ship them to where you're going to be when you'll actually need them. I forgot I even had another size- forgot another size even existed.

I hope they work for you! I hate having to buy stuff online at all these days, much less months ahead of time. What a pain. I don't know what I'm going to need next week!

Yeah, you know, she got poop on a cover again the other day even with the giant liner. It's because I have to tuck the liner within the cover (Otherwise it wicks moisture to her clothes), and then if anything moves, everything shifts. And when things shift.... poop on the cover.

I am however sure that someday she will poop solid. Hopefully before she's out of diapers.

Because I've been diapering one kid or another for the past 5 years and am pretty exhausted, I've gotten to the point where I shake it above the toilet and anything that doesn't come off just goes into the wash. Not ideal but I can't really afford a sprayer and DH agreed to make one YEARS ago and still hasn't so I've given up on that. I was scraping the poop off with an old spatula but I got fed up with that lol.

I am REALLY considering flushable liners though.
