If the modern cloth diaper hadn't been invented and all that was readily available were flats and pins, would you still cloth diaper?

I don't know if I would have started cloth diapering if there were just flats. If by some miracle I had tried them, I probably would have stuck with them. I've been enjoying using flats. They're really trim and they work amazingly well! Not to mention easy to wash and fast to dry! I'm very grateful for the modern cloth diaper though because I love my pockets!
I'm really scared of pins! That would be the only part that would keep me from cloth diapering.

Yep! Before I started researching cloth, I just assumed that's all there was because I knew about cloth from when my sister was in diapers 22 years ago. I'm quite happy that I don't have to use pins and plastic pullup pants but I would still have done it because I'm that stubborn. I do love my prefolds, modern covers, and snappis though!
I have never tried Flats, but probably! I've been saying since I was about 14 that I was going to cloth diaper my kids. I'm just weird and think about stupid things like that. lol

I would have. I would have been a little bit freaked out about the pins but willing to give it a shot!
That said, I'm certainly not complaining that CD options have gotten easier in the past few years! I think flats/PFs are really the smartest option, but to be totally honest, I do <3 my pockets.
