I made this out of that material that is softer than the minkey! so I put a backing of fleece on the minkey stuff. not sure what it's eally called though. Anyways, the minky has fleece sewn to it on the indide and the apple fabric is flannel. So this should be a waterproof diaper. Oh it's a pocket. I'm a little worried how this fabric will hold up in the wash. the lady at the store said it should be fine though. We'll see.

I also made this the other day. Another from the RRP pattern. The outer is tie die fleece and the inner is regular old flannel. I just use pf's to stuff. I've now made 4 diapers!!

Cute! I saw that swirly soft fabric at a store here and wondered how it would look on a diaper... now I know! You'll have to show us pics of them on your little one.

You inspired me to make a RRP diaper. It was quick and fun to sew! I also learned how to make the ruffle at the leg with the elastic... and I opted to put an elastic in the back for the super poops.

I did a minky outer and a flannel inner. Here it's stuffed with an infant prefold. I think I'll be making a few more of these. It gives me a place to put all of those prefolds Gabriel has outgrown!

Ditto this! I feel like my elastic looks wonky all the time.

i believe you get theruffledd edge when you dont make a casing, you sew down the elastic with a 3 step zigzag.

Yup! It actually has the instructions in the RRP pattern. That's how I learned.

Elaine, I got the minky at fabricville, but it's also at walmart and it does make it pretty leak resistant.
