Love the prefolds- that's what I want to learn to make! Do you have a serger for the edges?
Shureem- love those longies! What does pooling look like?
Oh, I didn't make the prefolds! They are Tickety Bu prefolds, I just added the embellishments to make them snappiable. That's my next project though, when I'm don't embellishing the remaining 6 pfs, and maybe making some wipes, I'm going to make some small pfs for the newbie. I don't have a serger, I think I will just try a zig zag stitch along the edges and see how that works.
Jenny, the pooling is on the rise part of the longies, see how the color sort of clumps together, giving it an almost camo-y look, as opposed to on the legs where it looks sort of stripey?
Yes. If you look at my christmas pics thread, the orange longies where Cannon is topless have pooling in the legs, but not so much in the body. I don't know if it's possible to get both though. I don't knit, so maybe one of our knitting mavens can tell us...
It's possible I just have to work at it a lil bit more. I've knitted with yarn that didn't pool at all. I just need to experiment. as for what technique I use. I just went online and found some tutorials and tried a little of this and a little of that and mish mashed what works for me. I also got a book but it's not that much of a help. a big help is right on the prochem site. but ifyou want help with koolaide dying I know there's agreat tutorial try googling how to dye wool yarn. I bet you'll find some great ones
I learned how to thread a bobbin a few weeks ago but look what I did last night! it's a bit short am going to do another that is longer and I need some help with sewing around the elastic other than that it turned out great! I think I'll stick to knitting though. didn't fall in love with the sewing maching
It's from the RRP pattisern. I have a lot of dipes made from this pattern and I LOVE THEM
i'ts crooked as all get out but still looks pretty good to me. might ad some velcro and call it a dolly dipe. !
