    Default Venturing into Wool

I ordered my first wool cover today. Have you tried wool? Am I going to love it?

I have never tried wool, but have decided that I want to get a pair of longies to try with this new baby! I keep hearing wonderful things about it. Let us know how it goes for you!!!

I will. I just ordered an inexpensive upcycled cover from etsy. I am planning to use it mainly for overnight. We'll see how it goes!

There are sooooo many cute ones on etsy! After seeing this thread yesterday I went and drooled over them for an hour.

    I ordered this one: http://www.etsy.com/transaction/86632113

There are so many cute ones. I could look at the hand made fitted diapers all day too!

I love wool! We use it every night on my DD and have for a year and a half (after many many nights of leaky pockets). I also have a few pairs of longies and capris. I knit, so I make my own. These are the last pair of longies I made. I just HAD to have some with the braids down the leg. They took way too long to make though. LOL

I haven't used it but have always been really curious. Please do update this thread!

So Heather, when you change the diaper do you change the wool cover too, or can they be reused like other covers?

    Those are totally adorable, BTW

Yes, they can be re-used, like covers. If they aren't damp, you don't need to change the wool. So with the wool pants, we just change the fitted underneath. In the morning her wool cover, which she wears under her jammies, is a little damp some mornings. We just take it off for the day and by evening it's dry and ready to go again. We don't wear a lot of wool but we have it.

Love those Heather! Everything I have read says that you don't have to wash wool for several weeks (unless it gets poo on it I guess). It has to be lanolized, but I found a tutorial that makes it look pretty easy. I can't wait for my fluffy mail to arrive!
