This is probably dumb but I have no idea - can you put clothes over wool or is the wool always supposed to work as the cover and clothes? lol

I wash mine even less often than that. LOL. I'm so lazy about it. My fitteds are pretty snug so poo doesn't really get out. As for lanolizing, I have had a bit of an issue with that. I tried to do it several times with breast lanoline and it just didn't work. I ended up paying someone to treat all my wool for me. Then one day I was at our local CD shop and they had some liquid lanoline made just for this. I bought it, used it, and all was great! YAY!

You can do either. I have some covers, like the one below, that my daughter wears under clothes. (old pic, aweeee, she's so little!)

    Thx.

All this wool talk has me wanting to learn how to knit.

That might take a long while for me to be good enough to do a diaper, but I will definitely be buying one that fits DS soon and one to fit Baby Girl this winter.

Good luck! I have one wool cover but it rarely got used because I had to handwash it and all my handwashing items just get left and ignored. If I had more wool I'd probably use it more but I don't see it being very useful because its so hot here most of the time that longies wouldn't work and shorties, while cute, aren't that much different than regular covers.
