Hello! I'm new to this board and have just started CDing my almost 3 month old son. I have a question about how you ladies store your cloth diapers until you wash them. I have a plastic trash bin with a wet bag inside. Do y'all put any baking soda in the bottom for the stink or just store them in it without anything? My fear is the stink. How many days do you go in between washes? Also, what do you do with poopy diapers? Do you spray with a sprayer or dunk? Thanks for your help!

Congrats on making the switch!
I have two wet bags that hang next to my change table. The diapers hang out in there until wash day. I don't mess with deodorizers. I just leave the bags open, which helps a lot actually. I wash every 3-4 days. There's a bit of a pee-odor by day 3 but it's not bad at all. We just started spraying her poopy diapers. She wasn't eating enough solids to need to spray them down until about a month ago. Her poos are smellier now too. Spraying helps immensely with the poo-odor.
I just use a pail liner in a cheapo Walmart trash can. I close the lid during the day but leave it open at night. I didn't do anything with Aiden's poop diapers till he started eating more solids. Most of his poops roll right off into the toilet. Those that don't, I dunk and swish in the toilet. No smells or anything. I wash every 2-3 days. Sometimes 4 if I'm super busy. Bit of a pee smell by day 4. lol.

We are still in the first month so we don't really have to wash the poop or anything plus BF poop isn't really stinky. She poops a lot though so I'm washing every 2 days. I have this to keep diapers in: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index...ductId=2373657 It just uses garbage bags.

Thanks ladies for responding! I guess I'll just do what I've been doing: Throwing them in my trash can with a wet bag!![]()

Rockin Green makes a pail freshener. I haven't tried it, but I love all their other stuff so I'm sure it's as good.
We put a wet bag in a cheap walmart trash can with a lid. I do dipes every other day. I do notice a smell when I put the next dipe in the bag, but not too bad. We have a sprayer made by Bum Genius that hooks onto the toilet water line (was very easy to install) and I use that to spray the poopy ones. I've also heard though that you can buy any sink sprayer and hook it up the same way if you have the skillz![]()
We spray poop off and also use a wt bag in a cheap trash can. I do laundry every 2 days. With twins that's how quickly the bag fills up..
I actually just ordered some of Rockin green's deodorizer so that I would have enough for free shipping from Kelly's closet. I will let you all know how it works.
I have a http://www.walmart.com/ip/Canopy-12-...Steel/15728015 one on each floor and I do not put anything in it. I wash every 3 days and rince out the plastic liner.
I have 2 in cloth right now. 32 month old and a 2 week old.
I have aprox 35 newborn/small diapers, 20 med sized all kinds of WAHM types, and 18 onsized diapers in rotation (wondroo and mothertouch). I have 12 more med FB pockets that I will take out and put into the rotation when I put the smalls away.
When I have 2 in diapers (3rd time I am doing it) I have done it with a small stash and with this huge stash. I like to wash every 3 days so I find 60ish diapers is a good number to have. 20 clean, 20 in some stage of washing, 20 clean and ready to put on (already stuffed some live in the car at all times and used when we go out)
