I love and miss our washer and dryer and we've only been separated a week. lol. We just have regular top loading Kenmore machines. They're both the huge extra capacity ones because I like being able to wash my big blankets and such. Definitely has come in handy when washing my entire stash at once (which has happened due to traveling).
I've heard the older top loading machines work best for CDing, though a friend on here has a fancy HE machine that has a setting for extra water which should work out great for CD washing.![]()

I loved my old 30 year old Kenmore (talk about a workhorse!) but we finally upgraded when it broke down with a half washed load of dirty diapers in it for the second time. Our new one is also a top loader, but I do like that at least it has soak and extra rinse options--those were the only bells and whistles I was looking for. We got it pretty cheap at a scratch and dent sale
I have heard that front loaders are not so good for CDing.
i've used a front loader for CD going on three yrs now. It took some time adjusting the cycles to get what i wanted from it but basically i do 2 washes one cold and one on the santiary cycle with the extra rinse option added. I really like rockin green detergent but i also use country save on all our laundry so sometimes i use it on CD too. If i was to buy a washer just for diapers i'd go with top loader non HE if you can find a good condition one.
