Wool Longies *Pics Added*

So, I've been reading a bunch of tutorials and I think I am going to try to sew up a pair of wool longies using an old sweater. Anyone have experience doing this?

I have 2 wool covers, one that I purchased from Etsy and one that was given to me (I think it's a Kissaluv), but they are both really big around Evelyn's legs and they don't really work for overnight. I think I am going to love the Kissa cover in the summer, but for now I think a pair of longies might work better.

I can't sew at all, so haven't made any myself but I do a great job of making WAHMs on ETSY rich. Wink I have several upcycled wool longies and they work well! Really like them on my toddler.

So, I made them last night and they were much easier than I thought. I lanolized them tonight and they are drying as I type this. I'm hoping to use them tomorrow night at bedtime for their trial run. If they work out, I'm planning to make a bunch more. They look kinda frumpy on the hanger, but really cute on her. Smile

Happy to report that the longies seem to be working well. I had to laugh at DH though. He put Evelyn to bed last night because I had to work late and I sent him a text, asking him if he could handle the nighttime diaper situation. (He's really only proficient with pockets.) He said that he would be fine and made a joke about duct tape. Anyway, when I got home, I asked him if he had any trouble getting her diapered before bed. He said no, but that he was afraid she'd be too warm. He put the longies on her and then put a pair of footed pajamas OVER the longies...and then a sleep sack on top of that! Poor girl was a sweaty, damp mess when she woke up this morning, but at least her clothes and sheets were dry. :/
