    Default Zorb II?--Updated

Anyone used it, or heard anything about it? It is supposedly an alternative for hemp and bamboo. The website says it absorbs 10x faster and holds more..... I am still battling stink issues at night with our hemp inserts. This past week has been the worst.

I know I've seen inserts on HC and heard what you did. I've never tried them though. I ended up adding a few cups of vinegar in a hot soak overnight with my inserts. It helped a lot.

I might try the vin soak. But I think I'm going to order a yd of the fabric and try it out. I'll let everyone know how it goes whenever I finally get around to making/ using them.

Will be interested in hearing about it. We are just starting to get some stink issues at night and are double stuffing now.

I just ordered 1.5 yds and with shipping it was right at $25. They say it shrinks a lot when first prepped, so I wanted to make sure I had plenty to make at least 8-2 layer inserts. Any extra will be a bonus. They are selling for an avg of $7/ea on Etsy. So the way I figured, I just saved about $30. Hopefully they work well.

I found this that says that the only difference between zorb and zorb II is that zorb II is presandwiched http://www.diaperswappers.com/forum/....php?t=1168133

I've never tried it but I think if I was going to buy some, I'd probably buy the original zorb and sandwich it myself. JMO.

Yeah, I think the only difference between ZorbI and II is that II is already quilted. I read reviews That said it's harder to work with not quilted.

    So UPDATE!
I have been using the inserts I made for a few weeks now. So far, so good. I made my nighttime inserts two layers thick and have still been pairing them with a mf insert. I have had a few leaks, but I think it's because LOs started to wake up in the middle of the night sometimes to nurse again. That and the fact that I think they hold it longer and go more forcefully...

I haven't sewn all of them together yet. I'm planning on making a few that are only one layer thick to try in some of my smaller Sunbabies. I think I'll try using 3 layers of the zorbII with now mf.

As far as smell goes-- there is still an odor in the morning, but it's nothing like what it was with the hemp. I think some smell is normal when the diaper is in use for right at 12 hrs straight.

All in all, I am very happy so far. I just hope that they continue to keep the stink mostly at bay.
