Who is your favorite candidate?

The latest poll shows just about any of the top GOP candidates could possibly win against Obama. So who is your favorite so far, and why?

Obama in Close Race Against Romney, Perry, Bachmann, Paul
Romney has slight edge over Obama, Bachmann slightly lags

by Frank NewportPRINCETON, NJ -- President Barack Obama is closely matched against each of four possible Republican opponents when registered voters are asked whom they would support if the 2012 presidential election were held today. Mitt Romney leads Obama by two percentage points, 48% to 46%, Rick Perry and Obama are tied at 47%, and Obama edges out Ron Paul and Michele Bachmann by two and four points, respectively.

I would like to see a Romney/Bachmann ticket... that would get my vote! I don't care that he's LDS like so many other conservatives do... he'll do 1 million times the job that Obama is!

Herman Cain has been my favorite since the start.

I like Newt (especially in the debates), but I think his "secrets" would crucify him in the media if he won.

I'm in for Cain right now. Things may change, I haven't had a chance to watch any of the debates, so I am going all on third party info or their websites as to what they think/believe etc. I think Romney would be a mistake unless he can somehow overcome the Romney care that Obama is going to thank him for helping with... His staffers were just over meeting with Obama's not long ago going over things again!

Oh and I hope we can start this forum back up again!

Cain is moving up. There are definitely a lot of things I like about him.

Businessman Herman Cain is leading President Obama in a new head-to-head poll, with seniors and independents taking a particular liking to Cain's unconventional candidacy.

The survey from Rasmussen Reports showed Cain squeaking ahead of Obama in a hypothetical general election contest, pulling in 43 percent compared with Obama's 41 percent.

The lead is within the margin of error. But Cain is the only Republican to have any lead over Obama in head-to-head polls conducted by Rasmussen over the past several weeks.

Nope. The only negative thing I have seen is that he has no political experience since he has never run for office before. Of course that didn't seem to bother anyone very much when Obama was running on his community organizer experience.

I like Ron Paul in most things except on his stance on Iran. Wish he was more of a viable candidate. Right now I like Cain, would like to see how he fairs in some heavier questions from the media

I think it's now being talked about because Cain is doing so well in the polls (which no one thought he had a shot in hell) and now they're trying to destroy his credibility. I find it funny that people are only bringing this to light now... I don't believe a word of it. And even if I did, I find it hilarious that Bill Clinton can do the same thing (and be found guilty of it!) and no one cares... but because Herman Cain is a republican, it's a total outrage! I think it's sick, and I don't think it will affect his numbers in the slightest... it certainly won't stop him from getting my vote!

Newt is the man for the job (and always has been for me) if we want to regain some semblence of our freedoms from the Saul Olinski (sp?) vision BO and his puppet masters and related minions have been ramming on ALL of us since that scam/sham of an election in 2008. IMV there is no one more qualified intellectually, historically, politically, etc. than Newt that can verbally, factually and substanatively cremate the usually stuttering BO in any debates......well unless BO has a teleprompter to read what some WH speech writer has written for him.

I like Newt (especially in the debates), but I think his "secrets" would crucify him in the media if he won.

LOL.....not sure but I think there aren't any left.
Regardless, compared to Clinton and BO's exposed secrets, Newt's is small stuff IMV and in no way overshadows his undeniable political and intellectual ability to bring this country back from the mass chaos and near ruin.

Well the media got Cain to leave. How horrible for a wife to hear all this stuff.. even if not true.. maybe even more so if not true.. because it is hard to prove to the public at large it isn't. Funny thing is, nothing he has been accused of is any worse than what Clinton did while in office, and we weren't supposed to care then...

Well, Hello - - I knew I would catch you on the GOP Board. And of course, I'm complete opposite, if you can remember my liberal heart ;). Long time no talk as if I fell of the face of the earth. You still won't catch me voting for a Republican. Catch you around, Lucky...
