I definitely went over budget. It's all my sweet DD's fault

At least it was all cash. Time to *sucks in breath* tighten my belt now for the next few weeks to make up for it.

We didn't really have a budget for Christmas. I have a small budget each month for stocking suffers, which I have already started buying for next year from the reduced Christmas stock from this year, and we decide on a big gift and look for a good price on it, this year it was a pool that we got for under forty dollars. I probably did go over a little on the stocking suffers but DS goes to the next room at daycare next week so Santa bought him a new school bag and water bottles to go to the big boy room.

I honestly don't know how much we spent on Christmas. I started buying stuff last August and picked things up as I found it on sale or clearance. All the purchases fit easily in our monthly budget for him too. Just instead of giving it to Aiden right away, we saved it for Christmas. Two of Aiden's favorite toys from yesterday were just $6 each.

Okay, just counted it all up from the best I could remember and we spent about $100 including stocking stuffers. A few of the toys I plan on putting away soon though and saving them for next summer when he needs something "new."

We spent our budget. We always have to watch this time of year because we also have 7 birthdays between Dec 24 and Jan 18. We decided this year not to buy for siblings for the first time so that really helped

I know what you mean, we have 7 birthdays in our families in Dec & Jan, too! My nephew, my younger niece, two SIL's, my step mom, DH, and then my MIL the first week of Jan. Then in Feb, we have my DD's and my dad's birthday! This year I think I'm going to plan better and buy birthday gifts throughout the year.
