Hi Jenni! Sorry that I'm just now seeing this! What exactly did you need to know? I love Dave Ramsey's advice and know that we have several families here that have found it to be a blessing and gift for their family's future. It is my hope that we can get this board moving again so please - ask away! All the best on your journey to "Financial Peace."

Thanks missy! i tend to forget to check in here because its so slow.

so what exactly is the money envelope system all about?i'm getting a picture in my head of labeled envelopes "phone bill, car insurance, rent" etc... just put your cash in the envelope and when you run out.... you're out?

any advice for getting DH on board, i can only keep him on board for oh... thirty seconds... and thats just theorhetically.

his major vice is mtn dew. he has several a day, or at least a big gulp. 7/11 is 10 minutes walk away, but he refuses to walk, he rarely remembers to pick one up on the way home from work if he wants it, in fact, the other day i had to leave to walk to work at 2:30, at 2:00 he had to drive halfway to where i work to go th 7/11... he couldnt wait half an hour.and then i still just walked to work to save gas etc.

of course, our relationship is not perfect, and we have our issues, but if i could find some way to get him on board for this, maybe we can get the rest of it together. otherwise, this is still just one more reason to argue....
