We have a local grocery store that will put $1, $2 or $3 coupons on meats that are about to reach their sell-by date. I can often get meats really cheap and grill them up or freeze them for later. The other day, I got boneless Angus strip steaks for about $6/lb, chuck steak for about $3/lb, and turkey Italian sausages for 50 cents apiece.

It am always amazed at how differently every family runs their money. I try to use coupons as much as I can, but we have few stores here and they have all been taken over by inconsiderate couponers who leave NOTHING for other people so I have had a hard time taking advantage of great deals with coupons. However, I am still able to stick to my budget of $150/wk for a family of 8 for grocery, paper goods, health & beauty, and Costco. Some months I even have left over money.
