My mock cycle may be a bust because DH accidentally dropped my vial of Lupron and now CVS is saying we have to pay full price even though the clinic just sent them a new script for it. :violent2:

It's been this huge ordeal, hassle. I'm going off BCP tonight, they really don't want a hormonal me on their hands... supposed to call me back. /unreal

Whew! CVS called me back and finally gave in and sorted out my replacement Lupron. So YAY, mock cycle continues on. /whew!

Yahoo I didn't get a chance to respond yesterday, but I was definitely thinking about you. Whew! Thank goodness cvs was reasonable in the end! I hope the rest of the cycle goes smoothly (and only let dh handle the bottles over soft surfaces! Wink )

Hi there! I'm dealing with infertility for a second time. I go to the doctor on Nov. 28 to get a plan started. SO I'm not completely out for this cycle and I guess there's always hope we'll do it on our on, however, highly unrealistic.

WhiteWolf68 - glad everything got sorted out with your meds. Smile

Hi Dawn! Hopefully you will manage to get that BFP on your own this cycle. If not, at least you have a plan for moving forward. I'm looking forward to following your journey and seeing you get that BFP really soon! :goodluck:

Hi all! I've been lurking on this board for way too long so here I am!

DH and I have been TTC for 18 months. We are on our second treatment cycle with our RE. Right now, I am on Femara and HCG trigger shot. No conditions that they can find that would be causing problems. HSG, post-coital and other blood tests have came back great for me. DH had above average results in SA. The most frustrating part of this has been not knowing the problem! It's not like I'm asking for an issue, but it would be nice to know what we are dealing with.

So I O'd a week ago. Just went in for my progesterone test today so I should know the results on Monday. I'm hoping for a bigger number as last cycle, I had a lower number, 10, than my RE would like. They increased my dosage of Femara this cycle which resulted in 2 follies at 19 an 22 when I went in for my U/S so hoping we caught our egg this cycle!

Looking forward to getting to know you ladies!

I'm going to be a lurker this month. Trying to decide what to do, if anything, to try to conceive. I'll cheer everyone else on for now!

Quick update here, bloodwork and scan this morning, mock cycle is a "go" and I start the new meds tomorrow. Major migraines though from coming off birth control pills, yuk!! The bad news, labs are closing Dec. 4th for cleaning and it looks like I won't be able to do my donor cycle until Dec. 24th into January now. They do have egg donors available though so I won't have to wait super long. Smile

So at least things are moving right along... can't say I'm bummed we won't be able to do this prior to Christmas but oh well.

Meg, hi, I hear ya! I think there are quite a few of us on here that don't have any problems and are labeled with "unexplained infertility".

Dawn, good luck with your appt, Nov. 28 will be here before you know it.

Hi Kara! Smile

A lot of people think once you have one kid, having another one is easy, but unfortunately it's not the case for some of us on this forum. Secondary infertility seems to be something I'm hearing about more often and it stinks. Sad

Exactly my issue here. Sorry I haven't been in pg.org lately, I am so depressed, it seems everyone around me at work, yoga, running, mom friends, literally EVERYONE is getting pg with their 2nd child except me. Originally I was all gung-ho to discuss with the fertility clinic about IUI but with all the pg announcements lately I just want to go straight to IVF! To make matters worse (or maybe better in the long run?) , DH is not keen on IVF...I wonder if he is not even keen on IUI.

Sorry this is such a downer post, but I have been trying for almost 2.5 years *just* so Evie is not alone in this world and has a playmate and sibling. It's very frustrating.

My fertility clinic news is that I had to postpone my Nov appt to Dec b/c of work commitments which had to be done that day. So I've been tested already and told my FSH is 10...in other words, everything is fine, it's all age-related.

Sophia- I'm so sorry for what your going through. I can relate to the everyone around you (or at least it seems like everyone) getting pg. It's so hard not to dwell on the fact that it seems so easy for some. It defiantly is frustrating. *HUGS* That's great that your FSH is good. IUI is a lot more inexpensive that IVF so maybe it wouldn't hurt to try that first? I haven't done IUI yet but it will be the next step if our treatment cycle now doesn't work.

White Wolf- Hope your migraines are better- those are no fun!

Hi Dawn, Kara and Jean! Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

AFM- just anticipating this week. AF Is due on Wed. but hopefully she doesn't show. I can't test until the 19th as I was on a trigger shot and I have to let that leave my system. Hopefully this week goes by quickly!

WhiteWolf68: Couldn't agree more. I was totally blindsided by the issues that developed for me between TTC each time. I have kept the TTC problems mostly to myself, and people just assume we are "done". The thing that even puzzles me, is why do I want this so badly for all the struggle it is, when I have children already? If I'd just wanted two, I wouldn't know all this pain and torture. I have very explained infertility-endo and tube problems, and now I found out my AMH is low for my age-so time is running out.

Sophia, I am sorry you are so down. I have been there quite a bit myself lately.

Megeyre, the unexplained fertility issues must be so frustrating. I hope you hit on the right treatment sooner rather than later!

Sophia, I think with a FSH of 10 that's pretty good! You should ask your clinic what the success rates are doing IUI versus IVF and then go from there. What you want is a sure bet at this stage, trust me I know. My level is a 22 and the IVF success rate is only a 3% hence why we're onto donor eggs. I think IUI is 5% and the reason why it's a bit higher than IVF is that with IVF your eggs go through a lot more. Hope that makes sense...

I have no clue why on earth the 2nd or 3rd (etc) baby is so hard to conceive!! So not fair. Makes me bonkers when you hear the Duggers are having their 20th kid! How about save some kids for the rest of us... KWIM?

Kara, I know what you mean. After I had my 2nd, I had no idea both my tubes got messed up, then I got pregnant finally but miscarried. On top of that they told me I had per-cancercous cells in my cervix and then I had LEEP surgery after miscarrying (worse year ever). A year after that I had Lap surgery to see what could be done about my tubes, my right tube was beyond repair, so it was removed. This year I finally got pregnant again only to miscarry again and this time it was a T13 baby. In all of 4 years, I've lost so much time that my FHS level is now a 22 and age 44 is looming ahead. You'd think I would quit but boy am I stubborn! Smile

Well, I decided to ask my doctor for clomid or femara for next cycle. We talked over the phone (he called me on a Saturday.....himself! Even though I am unhappy with what he has to say most of the time, he himself seems pretty devoted to his work and so considerate!). He said, "we can do whatever you want, within reason." He gave me his opinion, again, that IVF was the best way to go, and then asked me why was I hesitating so much. So we talked about it all for a bit. I'm sure he thinks I'm crazy for not just jumping right into IVF (some of you all might think that too) since we have insurance coverage. I did tell him that I think I'm just holding out hoping it will happen since I've been so close with an early m/c and chem preg this year and that it was hard for me to skip all the intermediate fertility treatments and go from natural to IVF.

The good news was that so far none of the tests for early preg loss turned up positive. They aren't all in yet, but so far so good.

He said we can take some time to talk it over, and I just need to call on the first day of my next cycle if we want to start anything. That should be end of next week. He was quite firm on his IVF recommendation, but at least he is open to other things while we get our heads straight. I think I might try just the drugs, then consider IVF for Feb/March.

On a side note, I am feeling so tired (again) from the progesterone supplements this month. It's such a drag. I just want to have a child, and put this all behind me! I'm sure I'm in good company there!

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.
