I'm going to get an EKG & Chest X-Ray next week, it's needed for my hysterogram. Think that test will be around mid-to-end of October. Then it's onto a mock cyle prior to IVF donor cycle. Of course, depends on finding a donor. (I did a bad thing today, ordered a really expensive pair of boots! The BFN monster made me do it.)

This is my first cycle on a treatment cycle with an RE. We tried 4 months on Clomid with my OB with no success. I am on Femara and will be getting a trigger shot on Thursday so hoping this is our month and we don't have to move to the next step. Hope this is the month for all of us! Blum 3

You definitely have a busy few weeks getting ready. I hope you are able to get your donor lined up quickly...I'm so excited for you!

That darn BFN monster!:p It has made me buy many things over the last year and a half. (That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it! ROFL )

I hope the specialist and new drugs are just the ticket to that BFP for you! Are you doing an IUI, or timed BD after your trigger?

AFM - Well, on to IUI cycle 2 for me. I was very bummed with the craziness over the weekend and yesterday. But, I've been SO sick with sinus infection/bronchitis for the last few days, with the worst yesterday afternoon and overnight, and on a whole raft of drugs to deal with it....I'm actually relieved to not be worrying about the negative impact it could have been having. I am STILL running a temp if I go too long without Tylenol. Hoping to feel a little more normal tomorrow.

Thursday I go for the first set of b/w and u/s for the next cycle. Then back to the lovely Follistim injections. Hoping for a response this cycle that doesn't look exactly like a natural cycle would have!

Jean, are you allergic to honey? I'm back to taking the Royal Jelly/Bee Pollen, teaspoon a day, because it's cold & flu season. I swear, last winter I hardly got sick plus I got my BFP so it's a double bonus of helping fertility and keeping us healthy.

Bad news about house selling, house across the street just went up for sale and it's hard to compete with it. We may just take our house off the market and put our $$$ into the Donor IVF. I kind of feel like:"Hey, let's just get pregnant first and then worry about moving". It's such a stinky housing market right now, super frustrating. We know we can buy a gorgeous house with a 3 car garage and an acre of land but can't unload this one.

No, not allergic to honey. I actually have some Royal Jelly that I got last year after you got your BFP. Smile I took it for awhile, but stopped. I'll have to give it a try again. At this point, I'm just desperate to stay healthy this winter!

Ugh on the selling of the house. It is such an amazingly crummy market. We have a house across the street that has been on the market for several years now. I'm not sure what the owners finally decided to do, but they actually moved all their stuff out this week even though they still have it for sale. Every once in awhile I hear about somebody selling their house quickly, but not all that often. I think focusing on the IVF first makes a lot of sense...one stress at a time! Wink Hopefully all the pieces will fall into place for you!

There are some houses here empty but I'd be worried about someone breaking in or something. After I posted earlier, my realtor called & someone is coming by tomorrow night! Smile He also said the family that looked on Sunday really loved our house but they're still looking around. DH says that it's a good thing the guy across is selling, he's asking $600k but it's done really nice since he's a contractor. If he does sell for a lot, it'll bring the value of our house up. Although I doubt he'll get that much for this area despite how fancy it is inside.

If we do move, we'll still be able to get to the IVF clinic via Rt. 78, it'll just take 45 mins versus 30 mins, no biggie.

Ooooohhh....I've got my fingers crossed for you! That is awesome that you have interested people. Ugh on the drive to the clinic, but hopefully it'll be worth it!

Had my first b/w and u/s for the next cycle this morning. 7 follies

Well, had my first b/w and u/s for this round this morning. It was SUCH an awful morning all around...the place was so packed. I was there for over an hour and a half!!!! I thought I'd have a ton of time to get breakfast and coffee before heading to school...but I ended up just making it in time.

The u/s showed basically no progress at all. About the same

How frustrating! Glad they upped your meds though. I'm afraid to even ask what time you got up this morning???

I went to the hospital this morning to get my EKG & Chest X-Ray done, took two hours. Now just waiting for AF to start so I can book my hysteroscopy.

Didn't have to go in this morning...yay! But, I do have to go tomorrow, and since I absolutely have to be at school by 7:30 for my 8AM orchestra rehearsal... well, I'm going to have to be on their doorstep right at 6 when they open. Blum 3 35 minutes to drive there, plus a half hour to shower and get ready...that comes out to 4:55AM. :coffee: I am SO not a morning person...big UGH! Hopefully it'll be worth it with some nice progress on the follies!

Yay for getting most of your preliminary work done! Time for AF to get a move on for that next step! Wink

Wow, that is super early, yikes!!! I'm not a morning person either. When I go to the clinic, I'll take my shower the night before to save time and straighten my hair in the morning but then feel kinda icky. In your case, you gotta work. Me, I can be icky at home, well minus school drop off/pick ups. I also cannot eat first thing in the mornings either, thyroid medication, so I take something with me to the clinics.

Just think, it's all for a wonderful reason! Smile

DH did his sperm thingy this morning, they'll test it and hopefully all is good. He also took them a photo of the kids so it can be passed onto our donor. I think it helps them to see the family they are helping. Some would feel weird about it but we're fine with it. Heck, not even picky about our donor at all.

It was definitely waaayyyy early....sad thing was, I was there just after 6 and was STILL there for an hour and a quarter. Only one Dr. on doing the u/s. I barely made it to school in time. Blum 3 Kind of a mixed bag of results, but I'll take it. Still just one follie at 11 on the right, but also one at 11 on the left this time. The other smaller ones were also apparently catching up (although since it was a dif Dr. doing the u/s this time, and all they record in the computer is how many are

Hope DH's count and everything look good! Odd about the pic thing...I didn't know they did that. Are you having any requirements or a "wish list" at all so far as the donor (hair and eye color, etc) or just going with a little bit of luck?

When I did my IUI, the other eggs caught up, I was surprised! But I guess it all comes together and I can relate about the one tube issue and hoping the eggs are on the correct side. No requirements here for the donor, just fair skin with blue or brown eyes. DH said British or American and they do have British donors, heck, they have donors from all over, every race and such which is so cool. Honestly, we just what whoever available since winter is coming and I'd rather have this started before Jan/Feb. I just remember how bad last winter was here in NJ, sigh.

Last winter was SO horrible...hopefully it'll be a long time until we have another one like it! But I understand wanting things going before then.

So, progress at last. Yesterday at u/s follie on the right was 12 (took all week to get from 11 to 12!) and the one on the left was up to 15. Today 24 hours later, the one on the right was up to 15 and the one on the left was up to 18! Dr doing the u/s said to just schedule the IUI on my way out, since there wasn't any question it was time. Smile So trigger tonight, IUI tomorrow and Monday, b/w on the 20th and beta on the 31st. (Hoping for Happy surprise on Halloween, not a scary one!!!)

Well, had my 2 IUIs. They went well. Judging by the CRAZY temp jump I had this morning, I definitely O'ed sometime between IUI 1 and 2, so the timing should be about as good as it could possibly be. Just have to wait and see what happens from here!

Quick update here, I start BCP's tomorrow night and my "Mock" cycle/meds on 10/28 & Mock transfer on 11/23. Need a Mammo done too. So it looks like 3 clinic visits total with my hysteroscopy on Dec 1st. Really hoping to do the DE cycle right after since my MIL will be here for December but maybe we'll fly her back out at a later point in time if finding a donor will take months (waiting list, not sure). I'm sure my MIL won't mind, she's wonderful like that.

So excited for both of you ladies!! Smile

Sorry haven't been around much, been busy since before Canadian Thanksgiving, when we went out of town for a few days, ran a race the past weekend, running lots of "change of season" errands.

I had a pelvic u/s today. No one told me there would also be a vaginal u/s to see my uterus and ovaries. SO NOT COOL. They took a lot of pictures, but what's got me worried is that the tech was out of the room going over the pics with the doctor there FOR A VERY LONG TIME. I hope that it was just making sure the kidney transplant didn't mess up the pics or something like that. I'm paranoid that despite regular cycles, something's wrong inside...

Hi Sophia! Sounds like you've had a pretty crazy few weeks! I'm glad to see you back. Smile

Ugh on having no heads up on the vaginal u/s. I HATE those (especially on Day 3. Blum 3 ) The tech being out for a long time probably didn't mean anything. I had a breast u/s on a lump a little bit ago, and it took FOREVER for the tech to come back and let me know anything. They just had a really busy Dr that day and she had to "wait in line" for things to get the initial read. I totally understand about being paranoid about getting surprised by something even though you have regular cycles. I keep waiting for them to tell me what is *wrong* even though I've always been regular, too. I hope everything comes back all clear for you!

AFM - Had my progesterone check today (they do that extra early one in this practice. ) Nurse left a message so I didn't get a number, but she said that it was totally fine this cycle. So now to hold out through the rest of the pesky 2WW. Beta is on Halloween...as if I'd actually make it that far. ROFL And, since I don't have to test out a 2nd trigger shot this time... I should wait...but we all know I won't! Wink

Quick update here: DH had a semen analysis done, he has low morph and low motility. They want to do ICSI now during IVF. They will do bloodwork on him to see if any of his hormones are off. Kinda explains why we haven't gotten preggos on our own since the m/c.

Wow...yeah, that would definitely explain a lot. Maybe they'll come up with a "fixable" issue to make things a little easier.

Nothing exciting here. 2WW sucks as always. Trigger has tested out, so anything I get in a few days would be the real thing. We'll see...can't say I really have much in the way of symptoms. Tender boobs, and they seem a bit more "generous" in size than usual (and THAT is saying something on me! ROFL ) But nothing that I'd take as a good sign otherwise. :dontknow: We'll see.

Stalk away! Smile That's half the fun around here...I've been stalking you too because i'm so excited for you! Wink

If you REALLY want to stalk, check out my chart. I've got an honest-to-goodness triphasic chart. I don't have anything on the ics and answer brand today except those pesky light lines I always get...and no longer trust..., but it is giving me a little hope. Now to wait and see if my temp takes the traditional 12dpo dive tomorrow.

Jean that chart looks GREAT! Shoot, it looks better than mine! I'll be waiting to see your results .... fingers & toes crossed!

PS don't let a temp dip scare you, I had a huge 3 day dip this cycle that started the day I had my first BFP..

Usually the 12DPO drop is the kiss of death for me. It has been so consistent in this process. The light lines have also been consistent lately. I got a very distinct, but light line again on an IC again this evening. :dontknow: I keep getting something similar on the same cycle day, so I'm reserving judgement for the moment. Now if I get a DARKER one tomorrow and my temp stays up....then I'll start to get excited. Wink

10/28 Update - Well, that temp is still up there. I also have light but definitely there lines on 3 different tests. Debating actually posting the pics on DYSAL, since usually as soon as I do that I have to do a "never mind"...feeling silly after the 4th time. So, we'll see if I break down and do it or not. Hoping for more convincing lines tomorrow!

Going okay here, started Lupron injections. It'll be a slow non-getting-pregnant month though! In the meantime I squeezed into a cute sexy Halloween costume but won't wear it out, Haha, all this snow! And I'm sure Sun/Mon will be cold. (It's on my FB page but I will upload all pics to Flickr on Mon/Tues)

I hear about being nervous but you are in the care of fertility experts now, which is great. They will monitor everything. Smile

So exciting!!!!!

It is definitely nice right now to know it'll be monitored closely. 34.8 on the HCG today, and the nurse said that was fine as long as it goes up 60%-100% on Wednesday. So, we'll see what Wednesday brings.

LOL! I'll bet DH appreciates that Halloween costume. Dirol You definitely have it right about the cold! Holy cow! Did you have a lot of damage up by you? Lots of tree damage where I live, but not too bad. But, my school is closed today because the power is out in pretty much all of Morristown!

I hope the mock cycle goes relatively quickly for you! The waiting is the worst no matter what, but I imagine this kind of cycle can really make you a little nuts!

Have you had any more nibbles on the house?

Woot Jean, you're preggos!!! Smile Lots of downed trees, branches, have power though. No nibbles on the house, it's winter time soon, so doubt we'll get any viewings which is fine, I can do IVF in peace that is. DH accidently dropped my bottle of Lupron tonight, he's phoning the clinic tomorrow. Luckily I have another bottle for now.

Sending sticky vibes and all for your beta on Wednesday. /hugs

I can see the advantage of not getting into the middle of the IVF process and then having to deal with the additional stress of potentially moving. Hopefully it'll be a smooth process for you.

Yikes on the bottle of Lupron! I would totally freak out!!! I'm glad you had another bottle to fall back on. Every time I handled one of those little vials of Follistim I was petrified I was going to drop or break them!

Well, AFM...the nurse just called. Today's beta was up to 66.9. That's a 92% increase by my math, so I'm pretty happy with that. The nurse said that was a good increase, but because the number started SO low, they still want to keep a close eye on it (something tells me it could have tripled, and they'd STILL be keeping a close eye on it. ) More bloodwork on Friday. :coffee: But, it's moving in the right direction and still in the "normal" range, so I'm just still going along.

I have discovered the one advantage to the 2WW...I didn't have to get up so early!!! But, it's for a good cause of course. Smile

Jean I'm doing the happy dance here :jumpingbeans:

Don't think they are going to let up any time soon on the testing....

I've had 6 quantative tests now for HCG/progesterone, 2 sonos and I'm still being watched like a hawk with more tests Monday....These RE's spend alot of time with us to get us to this point and they want to be extra special careful with us till we are 12 weeks!

(Then they send us off to our ob/midwife Lol

It is a lot, but for good reason. 3 blood draws already this week (and she had to stick me TWICE today because she couldn't manage to find the little vein in my other arm. Blum 3 ) At least no super early mornings now until Wednesday!
