Congrats to everyone here. I'm happy to finally post here on the grad board.
DH and I had been trying for 30 months. We lost our first pregnancy in Feb 2006 and finally began seeing an RE in July 2006. We did three IUI's (August, September & October). Our goal was to break November and December and start up fresh in January because DH's insurance covered fertility treatments. Lo and behold, I finally O'd on my own on 11/13 and we had DTD on 11/12. We weren't thinking about, the last thing I thought would happen is that we would get pregnant. I figured it hadn't happened before, it hadn't happened with 3 IUI's, why now? So I completely put it out of my mind.
We found out on 12/8/06 that we were pregnant. Had a rough couple patches and some really bad morning sickness, then all day sickness. Lost 10 lbs in 4 weeks but now the m/s has subsided but I am battling sinus and upper respiratory infection. Oh the joy.
Anyway, here's my ultrasound from 1/16/07. I can't believe how big the baby has gotten already (I really wanted to say "SHE"). I'm trying not to jinx anything though.
I'm so glad to finally be a part of the grads!!!!!

Thanks girls. My EDD is August 17th. My mom said, "You didn't plan that very well did you?" and my comeback was, "Ummm....well, no, it wasn't planned at all. We were thinking we'd have a fall or winter baby!" And of course, I heard that this summer is supposed to be one of the hottest on record. Thank goodness we have a swimming pool!!! I'll be using that quite a bit.
Congratulations Jen! What great news! I am so happy for you...and your baby is so cute!
Melissa...congrats on passing the test!!
I just wanted to update everyone on Julia. She will be one month old tomorrow! She is doing well and gaining weight like a champ...she made it to 8 pounds at her appointment on wednesday (she had some difficulty keeping weight on at first). Unfortuantely, breastfeeding didnt work out too well for us. I have started her on some formula but am still pumping to give her breastmilk too. I am not sure how long I will continue with the pumping...but for now I will keep doing it. It was very difficult for me to accept that BFing would not work for us...but it got to the point of me crying every time I fed her and it was getting in the way of properly bonding with her. My doctor finally convinced me that it was ok to stop breastfeeding. I am happy to report that things are going much better now.
Here are a few new pictures of her:

Ellen, I can't believe little Julia is already a month old! She is such a little beauty. I'm glad that things are starting to go really well for you both, and hey! It's formula, not poison. It still nourishes her body, and she is still getting unlimited amounts of love from her mommy! Your doing great!
Jen, you have an adorable little bean. Your story gives gives the rest of us hope.....
Ellen, I can't believe Julia is a month old already...she is a beautiful little girl. I'm sure she is fine with formula.....
