Mel...I try my best....LOL
Great looking bean Geohde!
I had my final u/s today. Everything looks really good. The baby's h/b was 148. Weight estimated at 4 lbs- so about a week ahead, no big deal. Maybe that means baby will be here a week early lol. Everything was as it should be heart liver kidneys etc. The baby is HEAD DOWN, with the little face pressing into my pelvic bone. I think that explains a lot of the cramping I get! We got to see the baby yawn and "practise breathing" Which was very reassuring. I have had a secret paranoia that the baby would have a cleft palate- don't ask me why, I guess I just need something to worry about! But everything looks normal, and the u/s tech made a point of looking at the baby's face. It's too bad I didn't want to find out the baby's sex, because apparently, the baby was trying to tell us! Fortunately, the tech asked before we started if I wanted to know, and I said NO. He turned the screen away when he looked in that area! It's kind of funny knowing the u/s tech knows, and my doc will know, but I don't know! However, after this u/s I have changed my guess to BOY So we'll see!
That's great Mel. I'm so glad to hear things are going smoothly. Now maybe you can stop worrying so much...LOL
Melissa.....I can't believe you are so close to meeting your baby! I'm so excited and happy for you! That is funny that the tech and your doc knows what you're having but you don't. hahaha You're good. I couldn't stand it. DH and I are definitely finding out. We're just too excited to not know what we're having.
Good luck with everything and let us know how things are going.
For me, it's going by slowly. My next appt isn't til the 19th. I'm going to go nuts by then! I don't think there's anything wrong, I'm still have food aversions and sore boobs, but it's always nice to have that reassurance. The 19th is when we'll actually HEAR the heartbeat for the first time. DH and I are so excited. He has never experienced that, but I got to hear my nephews heartbeat for the first time and it was the most awesome sound. I cried. I can only imagine I'll be bawling when I hear my own baby's heartbeat!
Jen, How exciting that you are going to hear your baby's h/b for the first time in 19 days I"m so happy for you!
Rita, 17 weeks already! You are almost halfway there already I know it probably doesn't seem like it to you, but time is really flying!
Kirstie, lol! ME? Stop worrying? No probably not, I'll just find something new to worry about! I'm a bit obsessive
That's great, Rita There's nothing like feeling your baby kick for the first time- except for the first time you get to share that feeling with daddy! I'm so happy for you!
For me, all is fine. People keep going You must be due any day now! Some look surprised when I tell them I still have more than a month and a half to go! It's kind of funny, cause I don't really feel that big. The exciting thing that I want to share right now is...We are BUYING A HOUSE!!! We put in our offer yesterday, it was accepted today, and we will officially have ownership by March 1st It's bigger than this place, so I feel so much better without those "where the heck are we going to put this baby?" worries. lol. So, we will be slowly packing and moving throughout March, and will officially be moved into our new home by April 1st!! I'm so excited!
that is great news Mel. A new baby and new house youa re a daring woman to say the least. LOL
Glad all is going well with the little one.
