I'm hoping maybe the high bp was a fluke. I'll have the nurse check it tomorrow when I do the early GD test. I'm hoping I don't fail. But if I do, it will explain the higher bp and weight gain i think.
All I can do now is take it one day at a time, right? I've made it this far with the pregnancy, only about 25 weeks to go. I can keep moving along, slowly but surely and pray that everything works out for the best.
Off topic.......... I thought the pregnancy fatigue would have stopped by now. I'm still pretty tired a lot and going to bed really early (about 8:30 or 9 pm). I figure my body needs it but I feel like such a weenie!
Jen, hope you don't have gd- that is a pain in the butt! Don't feel bad if you are tired, your body demands the rest it needs- you are not a weenie for listening!
Here's my quick update: For the past few day's I have not been feeling well. Weak and tired, appetite loss, some faintness, etc. Just generally crappy I had my doctors appointment today, and the baby is still doing just fine But my bp is highish (I forget the number ), there's trace protein in my urine, and I've lost apound. The doc thinks I'm probably anemic, so I have to have a blood test tomorrow, and he's checking my uric acid levels, too, though I have no idea why. Anyway, that's all I have the energy to type rightnow.
Melissa - How did your blood test go? Did you get the results yet? If not, when are you supposed to?
It seems like it's always something to keep our days exciting, huh? I'm going to try calling my OB's office this afternoon for the diabetes test results. They'll end up calling my house and leaving a message to call them back and then I'll have to wait til tomorrow. I'm a bit nervous about it.
I hope you aren't anemic, but if that is the best answer, the least problematic, then I hope you are.
Let me know what happened with your test!
Take it easy!
Jen, hope you get good news with your test results this afternoon! I haven't gotten my results yet, probably won't hear till Thursday since that is my next appointment (I forgot to mention the doc wants to see me weekly, now). Still feeling drained, and ppl are actually asking me if I'm okay when they see me- I guess I look pretty bad lol.
Melissa..........good news.........I PASSED! I'll still have to take the test again at 28 weeks, but at least all is good right now and I'll continue to pray that it stays that way.
You'll have to let me know how your appt on Thursday goes. I can't believe you have to go weekly now. Better to be safe though, right?
I haven't been sleeping to well lately. So my days are dragging and by now, at work, I'm ready for a nap! I'm also going to have to start putting a pillow behind me so I stop rolling onto my back. I wake up laying on my back and freak out! I don't want to hurt the baby or anything but cutting off blood supply. Why do books and doctors scare you so much!?
I have a body pillow and I've looked at "maternity pillows" that curve around the back and come up between the legs, but they aren't long enough to come up to support the belly. And you actually have your head on that pillow, not your normal sleeping pillow. It's odd. I guess we'll just have to see what happens. Poor DH.....Between the pillows behind me and in front of me and my growing belly, he'll be out of the bed soon enough! Hahahahahahahahaha!
Congrats on passing your gd test, Jen, that's really great! Not having to remember to check your sugars a million times a day is really a load off. Hope it stays that way for you And, I wake up on my back all the time too! It's annoying because now, I can't sleep on my left side because my hip hurts, can't sleep on my stomache, obviously so I try to sleep on my right side, wake up on my back every time. The baby is fine, but I often feel a bit dizzy when I wake up like that.
Poor DH.....he says all the pillows suck because he can't even get close to me. I just say, "What am I supposed to do?" I felt better having the pillow behind me and my body pillow in front of me. It's just rough when I switch from my left to right side. Luckily the pillow behind me is a longer pillow and supports my tummy and can go between my legs too.
I told DH we should have gotten a king size bed!! hahahahaha
He'll just have to get used to being far away from me when we are sleeping.
Melissa.....did you get the results of your tests yet?
