As most of us are aware, we have a growing board! We've held and are finding new members from all walks of life, different races, and different religious preferences all around the world and I'm so grateful that we've all come together to gather support for one of life's most difficult journies! Its such a wonderful thing to have people around that know exactly what you're experiencing and feeling!

Please keep in mind that these differences need to be considered. We welcome stories of infertility graduates along with our posts by our members that are still struggling. We ask that when posting a thread that contains absolutely any reference to a child(ren), a pregnancy, or miscarriage that these tags be added to your subject line:

Child/ren: (child ment)
Pregnancy: (preg ment)
Miscarriage: (m/c ment)

If any combination is mentioned, there is no need for:

(preg ment) (m/c ment)

Instead, just use "(preg, m/c ment)".


Following this simple guideline will help our most delicate posters and lurkers who may be recovering from a loss or going through a very rough spot in their infertility journey. Keeping these threads properly labeled will ensure that the readers know what lies ahead!

Another reminder to remove signatures that include young children, child's age tickers, and all pregnancy tickers.

We hope the members on this board get to move through quickly, but there are many here who will be staying a while. Some days, this is the only board a gal may visit, and it can be especially hard when you're feeling low to see baby smiles and baby feet. (sigh, that's what we all want most, isn't it?) Please turn off "Show your signature" in the box under your post if a youngun is pictured.

Avatars are a little more tricky since they cannot be turned off one post at a time. We do want everyone to post! If you plan on posting often, please consider finding a different avatar that can reflect your personality. I will be happy to size a picture to the 110x110 pixels needed.

how then do we tackle those who have used this board and been lucky enough to leave it and changed their siggy ( see 2nd post) there could be a cull of old posts every 6 months maybe? or just turn siggys off in the board? most days i can handle it but the more graphic baby tickers ( not the one above just to clarify) really get at me.

alternativly is there an option anywhere so i can choose not to see any signatures?

yes, that is a good point, you CAN turn off all signatures. Go to your user CP (top left) and check your personal options.

When someone has baby siggies, either Kirstie or I (board hosts) pm them asking them to remove the signature. If it's especially hard to see or all over the place, we contact site admin. When we get our powers back, we will be able to go in and remove them ourselves again. That was a lot easier.

I don't worry about the posts that are old enough (2 or 3 pages down) most people only look at the newer ones. Yes, some gals do get pg and their sigs change, but most take care of the most recent posts on their own since they know how hard it is to see.

Also, there is a graduate thread we want everyone to post on that has moved on. There are days when it is encouraging to see people who've been where you are and made it through. Then you can decide if you want to look at it or not.

TY didnt know you could turn off all siggys :D will do that for days when im not feeling strong.
do love to see the graduate threads tho, i have to be in the right mood to see those.

Update to add we do have our powers back and can remove signatures.

I just want to add that it is ok if (you) forget occasionally, and no one should feel bad if we have sent a reminder pm.
