    Default DH's Grandma

    Hi ladies,

I am new to this board. This evening we found out that dh's Grandma died. We were expecting her to pass but still in "shock" here anyhow. She was in her 90's though and has been suffering alot the past few weeks and we knew it was coming. She had Alzheimers and she'd lost alot of weight...gotten down to 60 pounds...and went into a coma. She was unable to swallow and it was her time.

She was an amazing woman. She raised my husband and he is such a wonderful person, so I know she did a great job. I have alot of respect for her, for her kindness, her sense of humor, and her strength. She was amazing and will be deeply missed.

We are sad that she will not be able to visit when our baby is born but we have faith that she will be there in spirit. We are also grateful that she is no longer suffering and that she is at peace with the Lord in heaven and hanging out with her husband who died before her, her siblings who died before her, and our angel baby Grace (ectopic).

My dh, Allen, is dealing okay but of course having a rough time. He says that he is most afraid of seeing the casket. I told him that he won't have to do it alone. I am there for him and God will be with us too.

We don't know when the funeral is going to be yet but I guess we will find out soon and then make the drive back to his hometown.

    Thanks so much for listening.

    Much Love,

    Anne, mommy to five:
    Lillian, born 12-24-10
    Will, born 10-19-07
    New little one, due 9-19-2012
Lucas Robert, born to Jesus @ 18 weeks on 12-26-08 (due 5-28-09)
    Ectopic Angel 10-24-06
