need support, please
My mother died over 20 years ago, when I was 12. Lately I have wanted and needed her so badly that I think I am mourning her death again.
I had a miscarriage in June and in mourning the death of my daughter I long for my mother again. I don't know if this is normal, but I am very sad all the time. I have a history of depression and anxiety attacks. They are so bad that I have been out of work for 4 weeks already and might continue to be out. I am on medication but it doesn't seem to always work.
Why do you think I am mourning my mother again? Do you think as a child I did not mourn?
Any suggestions on how to get past this so that I can move on?
Thanks for the support.
I don't think such a profound grief is something that you "get over". You just learn to live with it, and sometimes it doesn't hurt as bad. And the death of your daughter is more than enough to trigger old memories of your mom and wishing her to be around to help you through your grief. Since you are on medication, do you see a Dr? Are there any grief groups in your area? If you are feeling this has to do with your depression, talking to a professional may be beneficial.
I responded on your other thread, but wanted to send hugs once again - I hope you are doing okay!
I feel so sorry for your losses and I think its so hard time for you. In my opinion you could definitely pregnant again. I suggest you for join grief counseling group near in your area. Their way of talking is very well and its really helpful for you.
Some times we are so depressed from our loss and really hurting. Be strong and think about your future life.
