Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

As you all know potty training Alexander has been a success. Well...he was ill at the weekend and now we are back further than square one!!! I am not going back to nappies!!! He's been dry day and night for almost 7 weeks. This is just silly. He just pees and poops where ever with no care at all. When I tell him he's a baby and I'll put him back in a nappy he cries and says "no nappy! no baby!" I'm just so fed up. We were doing so well and now I'm back to being stuck in the house. At least when I started training he he knew what he'd done and what he should have done and only made one mistake a day, now I'm following him round with a cloth wiping up after him. It's been 4 days and it's getting OLD!!!

I know your not really going to be able to give me advice..I just wanted a place to rant

Ugh, I'm sorry! That really stinks! Could you just put a diaper back on him and say if you're not going in the toilet you have to wear a diaper. I don't know, but if Ryken was having accidents all day long I would just force a diaper back on him.

Good luck!

I agree, I think it's pretty normal to regress in a stressful situation or after an illness for a little while. If you force him to wear nappies again for a day or two, he'll probably decide he doesn't like that anymore Smile

We've put him in a pull-up and he's in bed now. He wasn't happy about it but he's asleep. Just have to see what happens in the morning *sigh*

Yay, I really hope he's back to normal! Being sick can really throw them off. Sad

My DS went through the same thing. He did great then when DD was born he went back to his old ways. I put him in a diaper (kicking and screaming, of course) the first time he did it... and he was so peed he never did it again lol... so it works!
