So I just put Hunter to bed.... DH is gone fishing with his Dad. When Hunter gets up, I'll call my Mom to come and pick me up and we'll go swimming at her place.
Hunter LOVES to swim, he's like a fish in water!!
Yesterday we want at my SIL's cottage and Hunter spend the whole day in the lake!~

Bless him!

Sally is a water baby too. When we go swimming I have to hold on to her to stop her sprinting along the poolside and slipping or diving straight in! Then when it's time to come out she has a little mini-tantrum.

I have just made and eaten a roast chicken dinner (yum) and now enjoying a nice glass of chilled white wine. I am 99% sure I can't possibly be pregnant this month, so taking the time to enjoy it before we really go for TTC (finally, been waiting for three months to get my cycle going!) next month.

Also umming and ahhing and trying to think what I want to do for my 30th birthday next month!

Luke started a new classroom at daycare today - Toddler 1. The kids are all older than him and I am sure they will be teaching him some new tricks.

Also TTC. Starting PNVs and drinking less wine. I won't completely lay off the stuff until I think I am actually pregnant. We were TTC for over a year last time.

DH is out of town and that means mommy is in charge (a rare thing around here). I am trying to think of something educational I can do with Luke after 5p, but no ideas. The zoo will be closed. But... the pool will be open.

Having my second cup of coffee for the day to prepare for the little tornado whose coming home. Oh, and it is 103 degrees here (39.5C).

Good luck to you two, ttc!

Ryken is also a little waterbaby! He will go in fully clothed with we let him Biggrin We're at my parents house for the week and they live on a lake, so he's in heaven.

I am watching Secret Life of the American Teenager right now. It's one of my guilty pleasure shows Lol Sully keeps stiring, so I'm sure he'll be wanting to eat real soon!

Luke loves the water too. Problem is, he's fearless so he will just jump in where ever. Its scary. Bryce just started to like the water and now can't get him out of it when he's in the pool

Tiffany- Could always do swim lessons... and if Luke is inclined, get him one of those little laptop computers from Walmart and let him start learning A B Cs... My Luke is not ready for that at all but Bryce had his at about this age and knew his alphabet by age 2!

Thanks for the suggestions! We ended up at the park even though it was still over 100 degrees. Definitely should get him another toy, but he is so busy I doubt he has the patience for a laptop toy yet. Our Luke (nickname in his new classroom is "Smurf" since there is already a Luke) wears a floatie whenever he is around the pool... just in case he jumps in. He hasn't yet, but I know that is coming. I wish we had time for swim lessons, but we'd have to hire someone private with our schedule. He's really doing better than most of the kids in lessons because his dad takes him out so much. I made a movie of everything we did today... with music, but the windows movie maker is trying to crash on me and I can't get it published. Oh well. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow.

Vicki, you're so sweet to let hubby go fishing.. with his dad. So cool that they get to do that together.

Katie, I LOVE that show! lol. There was a marathon on one day when the boys were babies and I got hooked. I'm waiting for DH to go to bed so that I can watch tonights episode. How is Sully doing?

Dalton and Gavin love the water too. Dalton wants to just take off by hisself, but that is not possible yet. I think we are gonna do swim lessons next year.

I let him go fishing cause he is sooo sweet about it too. In the morning he told me: I feel like going fishing...but I don't want to leave you alone with Hunter....
I had to almost force him to go, lol!! He feels guilty to do anything without us because he is already gone for 8months a year at college.
He leaves in a month... but for his last year!! yay!!

If you go to hulu.com they have all the episodes on there. That's where I got hooked Biggrin

Sully is doing amazing. He is an awesome eater. He has a great latch and eats really well. My nipples have barely been sore because of his awesome latch....such a turn around from Ryken! Ryken loves Sully. It's so cute! He likes to rub his soft hair and give him kisses. So far he's shown no signs of jealousy, but that could change as he gets a little older. DH is unemployed right now, so it helps to have both of us home right now, we can each take one Smile I'm nervous to how DH is going to handle both of them when I go back to work.

I'll have to check that website out!!
I'm glad Sully is latching good, it soo much easier for the mama! Happy to hear Ryken is not jalous..hope it stays that way.
When are you planning to go back to work? It's gonna be a challenge for sure to take care of two little ones but I'm sure he'll do just fine with a little encouragement, lol!

So I just got back from the park 1 hour ago with a screaming, kicking, crazy baby!
Urggggg I hate it when Hunter just flips out on me!
He started throwing a fit at the park because he wanted to go back in the swing but I wanted him to go to the other side to slide. When he started to scream and I didn't want him to win so I let him go crazy... well he did...........
I put him back in his stroller while he was kicking, screaming and trying to slap my face :angry5:
He screamed and cried all the way back to our house.... urggggggggggggggggg
When we came inside, I put him in THE corner for like 45 seconds then picked him up... and he finally stopped. He was trying to catch his breath, his face was bright red, I'm still upset about it. Hope these fits stops soon cause it's getting hard to handle.
Hunter sometimes turns in a little demon!!
He is sleeping now, yay!
.... I still love him of course, lol!

Alexander is just the same. He will have a huge fit until he can't breath any more. It doesn't happen very often and right now with my preggo hormones I just feel sorry for him and cry myself which really doesn't help Smile

They shut down the family changing room at out swimming baths so we haven't been for ages. Alexander did like with when he went but he couldn't walk last time he went swimming so I think he might run and slip now

I'm glad your having such a great experience with both babies Katie. I'm getting really scared about it. Alexander is OBSESSED with my boobs and keeps pulling at my bra to look so I'm worried how he's going to react to a baby being attached all the time. And just generally...how am I going to look after 2 with no sleep :eek: You make me feel better saying it's wonderful Katie Biggrin

Vix- your story about the park could have been my story yesterday. Only I let him win until it was time to go home. Then he had a full out fit and would have hit me if he could have. So, into the car seat he went unwillingly.

DH gets home in a couple of hours. I am debating trying to get some laundry done between then and now.

Luke woke up at 3am and had a real hard time going back to sleep... so we are both tired... maybe we'll just curl up and pass out.

Good luck to the ladies who are ttc. God I can't imagine having any more children. The two I have may well kill me. Elliott is so sweet and easy, but Jocelyn is just a little ball of energy and so high-maintenence...

Sibling rivalry is just beginning at our house. Jocelyn pretty much ignored Elliott until a few weeks ago. Then yesterday we fed him solids in the kitchen during her dinner, and she was livid. Cried, fussed, the whole works and was m-a-d. (Although it is great she's aware enough to be jealous...) And today she got mad when I put him in the exersaucer downstairs because she has been enjoying climbing on it. She did have fun when I pretended to have Elliott chase her, though, and gave him and I both big smiles.

Off to top off Elliott and then go to bed.

Vix- Ryken can turn into quite the demon child sometimes too! I can't believe the 180 he'll pull sometimes. He hates leaving the park and pool, but we've found that if we can get him to say bye to the park/pool/outside than he doesn't throw a fit. Doesn't always work, but it's awesome when it does Biggrin

Jamie- I'm thinking Ryken might start getting jealous when Sully starts to use his old toys and highchair.

Today we are bringing Ryken to see a fire truck. My dad is a volunteer fireman, so he's going to bring us to the fire station and let Ryken go in the fire truck and do the sirens and all that fun stuff Biggrin Ryken's going to love it!

Sully slept from 10-3:30 and then from 3:45-7 this morning!!! Yahoo He's always been pretty good, giving us at least 3 hour stretches, but 5 hours was amazing! Of course, I was awake at 1am thinking he would be up shortly

Hunter does that too and it works most of the time. I also find that's it is easier to go to the park by truck instead of stroller cause I can tell him come in the truck and you'll watch your little tv. loL! He loves watching Diego, Elmo, etc!!

Regarding having more than one baby...I was scared too, before Kate came along. Hayden wasn't quite 18 months when she was born and I didn't know how I was going to handle it. But we just fell into a routine. I can hardly even remember those details...somehow it just worked out. It helps when your older one sleeps through the night for sure. You don't have to worry about them overnight. Then when the younger one starts crawling and playing with toys (and especially starts walking) the fighting begins! Mine have seriously, just in the last week, starting playing "nicely" together. I think it's because Kate talks so much now that Hayden is starting to think of her as more of a little person than a baby always in the way. Now if I could just get Hayden potty-trained before #3 shows up! UGH! I'm pretty sure that Kate will be pt'd before Hayden. He is so stubborn!

Great news about all the sleeping going on!

Sally is a great sleeper, so I am hoping like you say that that will makes things easier if and when there's another one with us!

We are going down to my in-laws this weekend and also staying will be my new niece who will be about four weeks old - wondering how much nighttime screaming there will be and how Sally is going to handle that; I'm hoping she's just going to sleep right through it! There's a small room between our two rooms, which hopefully will help. Smile

Enjoy your in-laws, Vicki! We're also visiting mine this weekend. Smile I'll bet that Sally sleeps right through any screaming. When we visit my parents, the 4 of us usually sleep in the same room and when one kid wakes up and cries, the other one always sleeps through it. That is, unless it's very close to their normal wake-up time in the morning. Good luck!

Headed to the beach this weekend!! Yay! My mom works for Southwest Airlines, so we got some free tickets to use up. Hopefully there will be space available - but it has been looking alright. We're spending $200 a night to stay at the Holiday Inn, but this is the only weekend for the next 2 months that we can go. So, that settles it. Gotta do laundry, dishes, pack, etc. But.. I am so excited.

Beth, I hope everything goes well with this pregnancy. I come from a family of three, as does my husband, and we are about ask close in ages as your children are and it has been awesome. We are both very close to our siblings.

Vix - Scary movies give me nightmares and I see enough real nightmare stuff in my every day life... so no scary movies for me. Wish my kid would sleep like yours, but it is apparently NOT in the cards.

Have a wonderful weekend!!

Vix- I am so jealous of how well Hunter sleeps! On good days, Ryken sleeps until 7. He is usually up by 6:30 though. This morning it was 5:30!

Hope everyone has fun on their trips this weekend! I wish I was going to the beach, Tiffany! Ryken would love it!

We are leaving from our vacation visiting family tomorrow- we've been here a week though, so they're probably ready for us to leave Biggrin We plan on coming back up in a week and a half for another 1-2 week stay. One good perk of DH being unemployed right now, is we can visit family whenever. Although, I would really like him to find a job soon!

So, I had to go to urgent care today because I have Mastitis Sad I'm on antibiotics now, but it hurts so bad and I can't nurse on that side because my nipples are so sore. I'm just pumping on that side and exclusively feeding on the other side. Hopefully he can get enough from the one side so I don't have to give him bottles of EBM. BFing was going so well, I am so bummed this happened. Hopefully I'll feel better real soon and my nipple will be less sore.

I got mastitis 3 times. It's NOT nice. Each time I felt like I was going to die and it was the middle of the night-at the weekend so I couldn't go to my normal doc and ended up going to hospital  I got nipple shields to help with the soreness. Loads of people don't recommend them but I though they were a life saver!!

:bighug: I hope it goes soon Katie

I'm jealous of hunters sleeping too. How long does he nap in the day? I put Alexander down at 6.30 but 99% of the time he doesn't go to sleep until 7.30 or 8. He wakes up at 6 unless DH gets up before then (he works shifts) he hears him and wakes up. About once a month he will have a lie in until 7 but thats usually on a Monday when I have to be out the house by 6.30!! He has a 2 hour nap at lunch. I have tried waking him up or letting him sleep longer but he still just won't go to sleep at bed time. It's sooooooo frustrating!

Tiffany enjoy your beach trip!

Katie I am so sorry about the mastitis Sad Hope it goes soon.

Sarah that must be so frustrating! Sally sometimes takes about 45 minutes to fall asleep but that's about the longest. I get her up at 7:15ish but I'm pretty sure she's awake at 7, then she sleeps from about 12:45 until 2:30. Sometimes she wakes up at about ten to two but I leave her and she goes back to sleep. She goes to bed at 7:30.

It's very frustrating Vicki. Mainly because at nap time I put him down and he's never makes a peep. At bed time he's singing/talking/using his bed as a trampoline/kicking the wall  I just want to tie him down Lol

I do think he might not be getting enough exercise but I'm not really in a position to run around the park with him right now. Just walking there and back wears me out Lol And now the weathers gone pants again as soon as I've got him in the garden I have to fetch him in again cos it's raining  I think if the weather pics up again and I can stick him out in the garden he will start sleeping better again Smile

Hunter sleeps good at night and I'm sooo glad about that!!:p:p:p ....
But it takes him on average 30min to 1 hour to fall asleep.... nap time or night time. It can be a little frustrating cause sometimes I have to go in and top off his milk or tell him it's enough now and go to sleep. He usually just play in his crib, sings, talks to his stuffed dog....
But once he is sleeping, it is usually for the night!
Nap time is usually pretty short. About 1 hour a day. He is usually 2 hours in his crib but because it takes him close to an hour to sleep, he sleeps only 1 hour.
Night time he sleeps 11 to 12 hours (sometimes more!!).:yahoo:

Sarah that must be so frustrating! Sally sometimes takes about 45 minutes to fall asleep but that's about the longest. I get her up at 7:15ish but I'm pretty sure she's awake at 7, then she sleeps from about 12:45 until 2:30. Sometimes she wakes up at about ten to two but I leave her and she goes back to sleep. She goes to bed at 7:30.

That's about Hunter's routine when I'm working. Starting back work in less then a month...boohoo...:(

Hunter is sooo jealous!! One of my friend who moved in BC came over to visit after a year being gone. We had a lot to catch up on and pics to look at (since I don't have facebook,).
Hunter was screaming, even started to cry to have my attention, urggg I even had to tell him to stop or he'll go in the corner.

When DH kisses me, Hunter comes running up to us and says: Ma maman (MY Mommy)

Makenna is quite jealous too, she just LOVES her Daddy when he gets home from work he pets the dog and then kisses Makenna and about 20 minutes later he gets to come and say Hi to me!! It's really cute!
