I don't have any advice this time around but this was about the time we tried for the first time with Bryce, because I was pregnant with Luke at the time and wanted him out of diapers before the new baby came.

Don't stress too much about it. We did the little toilet and the training pants with Bryce, and he would have good days and bad days. It wasn't until he was age 3 before he really truly potty trained. And it seemed like over night then that he was potty trained. I would shoot for staying dry through the day... overnight is a whole different ball game (my now 5 year old still doesn't stay dry every night and wears a pull up at night). And if it doesn't work this time, let it go, and try again in a few months.

Our issue with Luke right now is, he doesn't even want to wear a pull up. He insists on a diaper. So I know we are not ready yet. Eventually we will have to just get rid of all diapers and see how it goes.

Is it the 3 Day Potty Training by Lora Jensen? If so, that's what we did with Hayden and Kate in October. Kate figured it out and did really well, until she got sick and lost interest and we didn't push it. She's in pull-ups and will go every once in a while if we ask her. She refuses to wear a regular diaper. Hayden turns 4 in about 2 months and is in pull-ups. He chooses not to go. Gets too busy playing and doesn't want to stop. He stays dry through the night, even. It's very, very frustrating. BUT they say if you train them before they're 2.5 you're more likely to succeed. I think we are going to do the 3 day boot camp thing again with Kate this summer and hope that Hayden sees her doing well and wants to do it too. We need to get a routine going with the new baby and get them really used to him being around.

GOOD LUCK with the training, Sarah!

I couldn't open the email from Veronica Sad its says it was a docx file - not sure what that is! Anyways I think we may work on it this week. He has amazing control but just will wait for me to put a diaper on - so frustrating! KUP on how Alexander does!

Well today...day 1...I feel I'm jinxing myself but he only had one accident. He pee'd and pooped at the same time and panicked and almost cried. Every time I asked if he needed the potty he just said "no" so I had to keep bribing him with "if you go and have a wee on your potty you can have some Easter egg" Lol He's got a sticker chart and was really excited about doing that.

He pee'd through his underwear once when I'd gone to the toilet and wasn't there to help him take them down but he did do it while on his potty and shouted up the stairs what he'd done

He did see me changing Tobey's nappy and asked if he could have one and I said he didn't need it because he was a big boy and he was quite happy with that.

Also as I was getting Tobey ready for bed he (Tobey) started to poop on me so I stuck him on Alexander's potty as it was to hand and when he'd done Alexander started praising him Lol so cute he was clapping him and going "yay" Biggrin

Anyway, he's bound to pee everywhere tomorrow but today went pretty well

Do you have Microsoft Word? It's the latest version of a MSWord document. If you don't have it or have an older version I guess you wouldn't be able to open it. I will see if I can save it as something else and send it again, if you tell me what kind of word processing program you have on your computer. Or maybe I can save it as a text file. Hmmm, let me play w/ it.

Glad day 1 went well!!
As for Hunter he is potty train for peeing. He is very good and has no accidents. He asks to go. I put a diaper on when he goes to bed cause he still drinks milk before bed and wakes up always with a soaked diaper.
As for number 2...... no luck there. He will either poo in his pants and cry, poo in his diaper (before bed) and just say Maman caca. Or don't go at all and cry saying soar stomach Maman.... soooooooooooooo don't know what to do about that... any thoughts??

No advice Vicki but I know it's very common. I have read about cutting a poo hole in the nappy and sitting them on the potty so they think they are going in their nappy but it goes through the hole so they know there is nothing to be scared of. Don't knnow if it would work.

Alexander does a poo dance and panics. We have so far only only managed one poo on the potty, the other 2 have been in his undies as we haven't got to the potty in time.

Well done on being fully trained for wee. He will happily go on his potty when he's bottomless but as soon as I put underwear on his he pees himself. But he tells me he should have gone in his potty. I have resulted to "if you go and have a wee you can have some Easter egg Lol

Last night he'd done a wee in his pull-ups before he went to sleep and when we went into him he was trying to change himself saying he was wet, so he does know

We have only had one accident a day though so I don't think that's so bad

Same here Sarah! If I put underwear on Jakey, he will end up peeing in them. But he does really good when he's naked. Not sure what to do about that! I can't have him walking around naked all the time cause after school we have lots of the neighbourhood kids coming to the door or coming inside to play etc.

I introduced the potty to Liberty when she was around 18 months old, but she didn't seem interested at all until about a month ago (her b-day is 12/11/08)! She does great at home when we keep her naked from the waist down (lol) but when we're out or she goes to bed we put a pullup on her. She does pretty good in panties too, except for when she has to go # 2 she'll still go the scream, "Ewww disgusting, mom!" LMAO she's too funny!

Blah, PTing frustrates the crap out of me. Ryken does really well and he wants to pee on the potty all the time, but then the minute he gets upset about something he'll have an accident on purpose  He also wont poop on potty, but that doesn't bother me as much as the purposefully peeing in his underwear. DH is going to have a long weekend pretty soon so I'm hoping to tackle it then. I know he's ready, DH and I just need to buckle down and do it!
