Weekend plans!

What's everyone up to this weekend? I know it's holiday for some of us.

We were going to potty train Ryken because DH has a 4 day weekend, but we decided to go camping instead. We're going Saturday-Monday. Should be interesting!! The place we're staying at has a great beach for little kids that is nice and shallow. We also plan on doing some hiking and I'm sure DH will fish every chance he gets!

That sounds like fun Katie!

The kids and I are doing NOTHING! And we'll enjoy it too! Biggrin I do have to work all day Saturday, but we are closed Monday. Yay! Yahoo

If it stops raining I want to do some work in the garden. DH's car is broken so he's going to get that fixed but apart from that nothing much

Hmm... potty training... sounds like a delightful idea. But camping sounds more fun.

We have hardly any plans except to clean and organize our place. We might buy a new couch (its been 6 years) and between the baby and our cat and wine spills, it is in need of replacement.

It is already too hot in Texas to do much camping, though if you picked a nice place with lots of water it would be ok.

Our long weekend was last weekend...I planned on doing nothing, ended up working a little, but we also had my parents over for a BBQ so that was nice.
This weekend I'll be working Sad

Bummer about you DH's car. Hope the rain stops so you can work in the garden. I can't wait to have a house and yard.

Good luck on the couch hunting. It's getting a little too hot here too. It's supposed to be in the high 80's/low 90's this weekend.

Our kiddos are at camp grandma for the long weekend!

We are sleeping in and getting stuff done around the house. Brian is resurfacing our concrete steps and I organized and went through all our kitchen cabinets and toy cabinets.

Not sure if you ladies know this, but I am in the process of preparing for surgery to get a lapband, and I have my full surgical consult on Tuesday. I found out a few months back that I have severe sleep apnea (I was waking up 46 times per hour all night long!), so the hope is that if I get a lapband and lose enough weight, the apnea will go away. I have always wanted to do some kind of appetite suppressant surgery, but my weight has not been in a high enough range. Well, with the apnea diagnosis, the weight requirement is less so now I qualify. It's a fairly non-invasive procedure and is reversible and adjustable -- no cutting of any organs at all, just a silicon band around the upper part of my stomach to restrict intake and make me feel full with much less food. Looks like the surgery will be around December 2011, and I'm looking forward to it.
