What is the most challenging about this age? tantrums!!!
Are you TTC? preventing? expecting? done? TTCing with Clomid, but it's not going too well Sad planning to take a break after this cycle and start trying again in the fall. i just want to enjoy the summer without these blasted side effects and emotional stress.

Mom's Name: Melanie

LO’s Name: Keira and Sarafina

Birthday: 11-28-09

Weight: Keira--about 21 pounds, Sarafina--about 17.5 pounds

Height: I am not sure. Keira is probably 28.5-29 inches and I am sure Sarafina is 28 inches??

Mobility (crawling, walking, climbing, etc): Keira--Walking, Sarafina--primarily crawling, but she did take two steps yesterday! :woohoo:

Words: Keira-- about 10 words I guess (I haven't jotted them all down recently), Sarafina--about 15 words or so. I am positive they actually know a lot more words, but they jabber and jabber all the time. The best is when they are calling their brother! I love it. They just yell, "Zaiah, Zaiah" for Isaiah. Too cute!

Sleeping (number of naps, length of naps, bedtime, STTN): This weekend we only had one nap both days in the afternoon, 3+hours, bedtime is btw 7 and 7:30 normally (right now it is btw 7:30 and 8 because they cannot take their antibiotic within an hour of having any dairy), both girls normally STTN just fine.

Eating (favorite foods, least favorite foods, feeding themselves with fingers, spoon, etc.): The girls love pancakes and yogurt, spaghetti or ravioli, they feed themselves with their fingers. I have not tried much with a spoon yet. Sometime soon maybe?? HA!

Rear Facing or Forward Facing: RF and will be for a LONG time. They are too small to be FF.

Favorite Activities: The girls love to grab their toys from the toy box and chuck them behind them as hard as possible! They also love to "read" their books. Sarafina actually points to pictures and jabbers at each page. Too cute!

Any new milestones or brags you would like to share: Sarafina finally started pointing to objects in books this weekend. YAY! She also took two steps! YAY! Keira is walking more and more and crawling a little less. YAY!

What do you like best about this age? That they love to follow me and they just love to play.

What is the most challenging about this age? Changing diapers....It is getting better, but those girls try to roll away even if they have a toy.

Are you TTC? preventing? expecting? done? DONE!!!!!!

How are YOU doing? Hmmmm....I am doing pretty good, I guess. I am eagerly waiting for summer vacation and pool time. Plus, more time to get things done instead of dragging myself around tired all the time. My kidneys are getting a workout from all the caffeine I ingest. I probably just need a caffeine IV drip everyday!. Lol

Anything else new and exciting you wish to share: Not that I can think of at the moment. Life is the same. DS is in swimming and soccer. So, we drive him around, while trying to keep the twinkles fed and happy most evenings. I still teach Zumba four times a week on top of my full time job. It is the only way I get to exercise right now.

I will try to find a link on another board and share it, but don't hold your breath! Also, if you want to see some recent professional pics, send me a PM. I will send you a link to see the twinkles slideshow.

Birthday:December 13th

Weight: 27 pounds

Height: 34 inches

Mobility (crawling, walking, climbing, etc): Walking, Running, Climbing

Words: No, Mama, Dad, LaLa (Lexi)

Sleeping (number of naps, length of naps, bedtime, STTN): MAYBE one 30-60 minute nap. Sleeps from 8:00pm to 7:00am most days

Eating (favorite foods, least favorite foods, feeding themselves with fingers, spoon, etc.): Zayne loves all foods. I have yet to find something he doesn't like. He usually starts with his spoon and fork but switches to his fingers about mid meal.

Rear Facing or Forward Facing: Forward Facing. He HATED rear facing and was switched on his birthday

Favorite Activities:Playing with his big sister! He also loves to be outside running around and climbing on EVERYTHING

Any new milestones or brags you would like to share: Not really. He's learning to annoy his sister. Example: He will sit on her blankie, she will get mad and move it, he'll get up and sit on it again OR put his hands on it just so he's touching it and making her mad. ROFL

What do you like best about this age? Still so loving and cuddly but there's a lot of interaction as well. AND I love that he still can't talk back!

What is the most challenging about this age? Keeping him off the table, counter, chairs, toys....he is a dare devil and I'm constantly pulling him off stuff!

Mom's Name: Mandi
LO’s Name: Josiah
Birthday: December 13
Weight: about 22lbs
Height: 31 inches
Mobility (crawling, walking, climbing, etc): walking...mostly running Lol , and climbing on everything, pushing items to others so he can climb on things he otherwise couldn't
Words: dada, kitty, dog, all done, thank you, num num Lol (he says whenever he's hungry), milk, nigh (nigh night), no, yes, hello...I think that's it but he seems to get a new one everyday lately. He says something that is either sister or Sofia but it's not very clear
Sleeping (number of naps, length of naps, bedtime, STTN): one nap a day and *usually* sleeping through the night. Nap really varies, all last week he took 4 hour naps every day but this weekend it was back to 2-ish hour naps. Bedtime is 7:30pm and he usually wakes up about 6:30am
Eating (favorite foods, least favorite foods, feeding themselves with fingers, spoon, etc.): he's pretty picky, but his favorite good-for-you food is probably blueberries, otherwise he loves crackers of all sorts and animal crackers, cheerios are still a common snack. He loves pizza :-? and he really likes cooked carrots and whole apples. He can feed himself with his fingers or a spoon
Rear Facing or Forward Facing: rear facing at least through next winter hopefully
Favorite Activities: running away from us laughing Wink He really likes sitting on our laps for story time and he just loves playing with his sisters. I can't wait until it's nice enough for him to play outside because I think he'll love that.
Any new milestones or brags you would like to share: He's just really learning so much right now!
What do you like best about this age? I *love* this age, sure he has tantrums but they are so easily distracted from them and most of the time are just so loving and playful. This has to be one of my favorite ages.
What is the most challenging about this age? Probably the eating, he's starting to get picky and so finding things that are good for him that he'll eat is tough. Oh and not letting him get away with things we won't when he's older because it's so cute now Wink
Are you TTC? preventing? expecting? done? expecting in September and then done!
How are YOU doing? Good, finally have my energy back and haven't dealt with nausea in a few weeks. I've been having some awful headaches that are hard to get rid of but for the most part I feel pretty good, just really ready for this winter to be over so I can outside more.
Anything else new and exciting you wish to share: We have an elective ultrasound scheduled for Sunday (the 10th) so hopefully we'll know what kind of baby we're getting then Wink

Mom's Name: Leah
LO’s Name: Isaac and Gabriel
Birthday: October 19, 2009
Weight: At last check up, 22.5lbs for Isaac and 24lbs for Gabe
Height: 30.5in Isaac and 31.5in Gabe
Mobility (crawling, walking, climbing, etc): All of those, and running too
Words: Isaac says "cracker" for graham cracker, Gabe still has no words (they have a diagnosed communication delay, which I expected to a certain degree because of their prematurity)
Sleeping (number of naps, length of naps, bedtime, STTN): 1 mid morning nap about 11pm-1pm, bedtime at 7pm, thank god they are STTN
Eating (favorite foods, least favorite foods, feeding themselves with fingers, spoon, etc.): These kids could survive on yogurt, hummus, bananas, bread, and graham crackers. They are getting super picky, but Gabe is the pickiest. Mostly eating with their fingers though we try spoons occasionally just for practice.
Rear Facing or Forward Facing: Forward, though I am contemplating switching them back
Favorite Activities: Eating! Gabe likes to build things alot, with blocks and big legos. Isaac is the destroyer, and tears everything apart. Isaac mostly likes to just walk around and climb on stuff. Gabe is content to just sit and play.
Any new milestones or brags you would like to share: Just that Isaac said "cracker" the other day, which is pretty much his first word (he used to say "cat" but hasn't said it in months)
What do you like best about this age? They are just so much fun to interact with. And I love communicating, even nonverbally.
What is the most challenging about this age? Good Lord the temper tantrums. Also just the fact that they're not developmentally capable of following directions, so it makes it very hard to take them out in public by myself.
Are you TTC? preventing? expecting? done? Done for now. I think I'd like to have another one day, but I need a stable and supportive partner first, and that is not Steve. We're not preventing though..eh I need to get on that. Probably an IUD.
How are YOU doing? As good as can be expected. I love the boys more each day, it's so much fun to hang out with them. My parents are wonderfully supportive, we see them almost every day. Things are tense with Steve and I, and that combined with working night shift puts alot of stress on me. I also think my thyroid is outta whack again so I have to go to the doctor soon.
Anything else new and exciting you wish to share: Still working on the relactating, I'm getting a tiny bit of milk, which i mix in with the boys cows milk each day. Also Gabe is sooo totally like me, he has so many of my mannerisms, it is ridiculous and cute all at the same time!

Mom's Name: Katie

LO’s Name:Evan

Birthday: 12/10/09

Weight:23 pounds at his 15 mo he's really slimmed way down

Height: 32"

Mobility (crawling, walking, climbing, etc): He rarely crawls anymore only if he falls down b/c he's running too fast and not paying attention lol

Words: More daily lately but the most common are sock, mama, dada, dog, buba (one of the dogs), hot, up, all done, yes (he'll answer yes to anything)

Sleeping (number of naps, length of naps, bedtime, STTN):I feel so lucky to have a good sleeper. He goes down about 8 sleeps until 7 on daycare days when I get him up and will usually sleep until 8 on non-work days. Sometimes on weekends he'll even play another 1/2 hour so we can really get some sleep. Naps at daycare are iffy usually around an hour but at home he goes down at noon and usually sleeps at least 2 hours sometimes 3 and he'll usually play in his crib 30-60 minutes happily. I don't know if I did something or if it's his nature but the kid loves his crib

Eating (favorite foods, least favorite foods, feeding themselves with fingers, spoon, etc.): Ugh I have a really picky toddler. Sigh. My mom reminds me not to stress just offer new things, keep things he likes on hand and remember he won't starve. Mostly fingers and he likes chicken nuggets (but FLAT REFUSES good healthy chicken breast in any form baked, breaded, sauted, grilled), mashed potatoes, graham crackers, cereal bars, yogurt, finally drinks milk, steel cut oats. Meal is almost always a total fail.

Rear Facing or Forward Facing: rear still he doesn't mind it so I figure why move him?

Favorite Activities:He loves books now, loves to take walks down the block (when it isn't freezing out where or where is SPRING?!?!), loves his toys

Any new milestones or brags you would like to share: He gives and blows kisses and really understands more and more communication daily which makes life so much easier

What do you like best about this age? The laughter and smiles

What is the most challenging about this age? Tantrums (glad I'm not alone) and the inability to really reason or give cause/effect he's def not there yet we can't do time out etc just redirect or ignore. We've also been cutting 3 teeth and he's had a head cold not the most fun combo on earth!

Are you TTC? preventing? expecting? done? Due in Nov fingers crossed for a good u/s Thurs very nervous and excited

How are YOU doing? Very good. The work life balance is a challenge. I'm only in the office 3 days a week but things at work are so busy I come home most nights eat put the baby to bed and work 2 or 3 more hours. And I'm tired from 1st trimester

Anything else new and exciting you wish to share: Happy to share a BB with Nicole and Anne again Smile

Rear Facing or Forward Facing: Forward and loving it
Favorite Activities: Dancing, climbing on the dog cages to look outside, playing in anything water related, wrestling with the puppy, and now patty-cake

What is the most challenging about this age? The start of tantrums!

How are YOU doing? Mostly good. Work is pretty boring. Getting frustrated about the TTC since we got pregnant on our first try with Connor I am spoiled and feel as if that's they way it should happen again.
Anything else new and exciting you wish to share: I am going to try to lose 20 pounds to help aid my TTC-ing. !!! I haven't worked out in years, and though I've missed it I've become REALLY lazy

Any new milestones or brags you would like to share: She's learned how to dial my phone and find DBF in the phonebook. I'm pretty sure she identifies him by the picture assigned.
What do you like best about this age? How ridiculously smart they are and how quickly they pick up on things. It's amazing to watch
What is the most challenging about this age? How difficult it is to communicate with them when they need something
Are you TTC? preventing? expecting? done? I think we are done. I keep trying to convince DBF that we could have one more, but I don't think he's buying in
How are YOU doing? Busy. And tired. I've been working nonstop and then taking care of Sophia and the new house when I'm not working. I'm really ready for a vacation
