Spaces?

Have you ever gone back to look at the spaces sticky? I just did. It is amazing how we have lost so many ladies. We even had those who posted all the way through their pregnancy and they never come here anymore. Sad Oh well, I am glad we are getting more active.

My board that I posted on since I was pregnant with my DS (which is not pg.org) and followed around to different websites is gone now. We all still have a group on FB and we are mostly friends with each other on FB. Some women like it and post a lot. I rarely post in the group on FB. It is too hard to track. So, it makes me happy to know I still have this board. At least for now. Biggrin

I was thinking about that last week... Ethan's birth board is still active but has been expanded to include other months. Most of us on there have also been on a private board for quite a while though!

I spend a lot more time on facebook and are friends with the ladies on there. I try and check our board as often as I can but it's pretty quiet at times.

I know...facebook has killed a lot of the boards here. This board is only as quiet as we allow it to be, kwim?

My other board that I was with for so long just got too expensive to maintain. We started at a different pregnancy site (I cannot even remember because it was over 8 years ago), then we moved to another site where the host went a little crazy, so we created our own. We never paid a monthly fee, but donated money when we could. The ladies who maintained it just hit a wall where they couldn't pay anymore. We still post in FB and I at least lurk and read most of the time. If you really get a good group dynamic, you can post with a group for years. I have met a lot of those ladies in person as well. It has been the best support group.

I know what you mean. Lexi's birth board is still VERY active even though we all have each other on FB. I guess for the most part we just talk on our chat thread but it still gets posted on frequently though out the day. I completely agree with Melanie, It's only as quiet as we let it be. So lets make some noise Smile

I don't think I ever created a space Smile I really didn't post here too much until he was actually born in December since I was due in January. A lot of the boards have slowed. I still try to post when I can on them. I'm still friends with a lot of the ladies from DD1's and DD2's birthboard on Facebook and we have our own groups there too. I love that we've stayed in touch and definitely feel like they are some of my best friends. I'll keep posting here though Smile

Yeah I look through it from time to time. It sucks how many people just stopped using the site all together. I've done that with people I have on my friends list. I know more people keep up on Facebook and all but there's allot of stuff that PO still offers that Facebook doesn't. At least there are still some of us that use the BB still. I just don't want our BB to disappear like I have seen allot that have. My one IRL friend who told me about PO in the first place, her BB is no longer, they combined it with a bunch of others. I don't want to see that happen with us.

Exactly! I keep up with those people I am friends with on FB and I post in our group on occasion, but FB isn't the same as PO. I feel like PO has a lot more to offer than FB. I think smartphones are killing it too. It is hard to get on this site on your phone. I do it, but I don't post much from my phone. It is easier with my computer at work. Maybe if we get an iPad, it will make it easier without having to sit down at my home computer or use my phone.

I did make a post sometime last month suggesting a mobile version of the site and Missy said they were working on it. I agree I would post more things from my phone like when its slow and I'm bored at work but it's too much of a PITA.

First couple of weeks were crazy trying to adjust life, but now we have our routine and Aubrey has slotted into our life just fine, lol.
