How much and of what are your LO's eating?
She eats bananas, peas and squash or sweet potatoes, don't remember which. She gets them every 2 or 3 days, we aren't on any kind of schedule. Sometimes she eats half, some times she eats the whole thing it really just depends on the day.
She eats rice, oatmeal, and barley cereal. I just started introducing vegetables yesterday. I started with green beans, cause I figure they're all up hill from there.
I hate green beans. Fortunately, she appears to love them. The day after tomorrow I'm going to introduce her to sweet potatoes!
In the morning I give her either cereal or a whole thing of veggies. In the afternoon I give her cereal and a half container of veggies, and the evening is the same as the afternoon. A serving of cereal for Sophia is 3 teaspoons of cereal mixed with 5-6 teaspoons of formula, but she started out with 1 teaspoon to 5-6.
She's been eating the solids for about a month, though. We gradually got into a routine with it based on when she appeared to not be satisfied with just her formula. When I first started out I just gave her some cereal every so often when she seemed to be into it. It averaged about once a day or so, but no set time or anything.
Okay, I was just curious how much other LO's were eating. I think I just have a monster on my hands. I'll be really interested to see what percentiles he's in at his appointment next week.
I found a recipe for a banana/avocado mash that I want to give him too. We've done bananas, sweet potatoes, apples, and pears along with cereal. We were doing once a day, but are now on to twice a day. He eats between a half and a entire jar of the small food and about 4 tablespoons of cereal and THEN he still wants a bottle.
This kid may very well eat me out of house and home LoL.
Kay isn't really on solids yet. We have given her apples sauce but her tongue thrust is still very strong so we do it maybe once a week if that. She is very content at just being breastfeed and I think my milk supply is either coming back up or Kay is getting out of her growth spurt so that helps
This is Stetson! To a T he is averaging 3 containers of food a day and along with that at the same time he will eat 6-8 ounces of formula! We switched to home made baby food... SOO MUCH EASIER
