25 week appt!

So I had my Dr appt this morning (I love how I have the very first appt of the day and i still had to wait 45 minutes to see her!) and everything looks great! Im up one pound from last month, so 13 lbs gained so far. It took her forever to find his hb though... its kind of my fault as i drank an iced coffee in the waiting room to help wake me up, so he was doing summersaults and wouldn't sit still for her lol! Anyway, an overall short and sweet appt, Im back in three weeks for my 28 week appt, then its every two weeks as I'll be in my third trimester then!

That's kind of funny that it was your fault he was hyper. LOL

Isn't it crazy that we are about to hit the 2 week appts? I have my 24 week and then starting at 28 weeks I go every 2 weeks. My dh hates our $60 copay and asked me why I have to go so often, LOL.

Wow, awesome! Congrats on the low weight gain too! So at this point he isn't head down? I'm wondering when they usually lock head down or breech. I have my 25 week appt at 1:45. I would love to hear I only gained one pound!! I was up 13 at my last appointment...

$60 copay! Ouch... and I thought my insurance was bad.

Yea, crazy to think we will be going every 2 weeks, and soon the GD test!

awesome appointment!!!! Crazy to think we're so close to 2 week appointments. And I REALLY want an iced coffee now.

Jules: Babies are usually head down by 36 weeks. Being breech at this point, or transverse, really doesn't mean anything. The baby is only 1-2 pounds and has plenty of room to move around and do flips.

jenn: eeps! 60$ co-pay?? I'm with your DH on that one! you poor thing.

60.00 copay. OMgosh! That is going to be pricy when you get to 1 week appts!

Good to know! My friend is about 33 weeks and baby is breech, but I told her I thought there was plenty of time to turn.

Luckily I don't have any copays for the visits, but I will have to fork over about $2k for the delivery after deductibles and such. Boo.

Glad you had a good one! Can't believe we are getting so close to 2 weekers. I have my GD test this friday at my 25 week appt, not sure why they are doing it so early. In the past it has been at around 28 weeks.

Jenn that's the most outrageous copay! Thankfully my job offers a flex pay account, which is a pre loaded visa with however much I want on the card, tax free, and they just take a little bit out of my paychecks throughout the year... this way its kind of already paid for every time I go to the doctor!

Jules, like others said, baby can turn all the way up to 37 weeks, so my doc doesn't even check until way later what position they're in.

they gave me the paperwork for my gd test but told me not to go until Im 28 weeks. Also its a mandatory two hour test as they said they're not doing the one hour one anymore... ugghh kill me now lol...

Yay for another good appointment! Can't believe you had to wait 45 minutes even with being the first appointment though, that's crazy!

Yay for a good appt. That's funny that your coffee woke him up like that Smile I dont think caffeine has any effect on my little one anymore. I prob shouldn't admit that, lol.

Glad to hear everything is ok. I can't believe you are almost in the 3rd tri!!!!

Oh my goodness.....my wallet would scream bloody murder at me. We only pay 1 co-pay (I went to my gp so it was cheaper!) to confirm pregnancy and then it's just the deductable. I can't imagine having to pay $60 each time.

ughhhhhh what is a 2 hour draw? Do they take your blood after 2 hours or on the hour every hour? I hope you pass!

Angela, you drink the drink, have blood drawn after one hour, then sit there another hour and have blood drawn again... i am so not looking forward to it. I had the one hour one with all the other babies, but with Dd i also had to have a three hour one because i failed the first one!! Ugghh it was terrible!
