    Default Anatomy scan!!!!

    its a boy!!!!!!

we're so excited! I had a brief moment of disappointment, but truly, i'm thrilled! I'm so glad Luke will have a little brother to play with! Besides, it will give me extra time to plan a pink nursery for next time

the heart rate was 103-112 through the whole scan. that did concern me a little. I asked the tech and all she said was "yeah that seems a little low." He was moving and kicking and ALL OVER THE PLACE. i was laying there for 90 minutes and they still couldn't get all the pictures they needed lol. I have to go back so they can try to get pics of the heart, but everything looked normal from what could be seen. My tummy is actually really sore. The radiologist came in and tried to get better pictures, all that pushing and probing! I was glad when it was done. And i get to go back and see the little critter again.

I'm just curious,,, has anyone else had such a low heart rate? he was NOT sleeping. He was all over the place. I have never felt him move so much!

Awwww, another boy! Congrats Carolyn! You have any names in mind yet?

Hmm, no experiences with a low HR. KUP! I want to hear what you find out!

My LO was also SO active during the U/S. The hardest kicks I had ever, and since, felt, and the highest in my belly too! Usually they are as low as you can go, and during the U/S you could actually SEE my belly moving right around the belly button.

    Congrats again!

Yay congratulations! Two boys will be so fun! Start saving now for all the groceries you will need when they are teens though lol.

No info on the low hr. Did you see your OB ( or MW) today too or just have the scan?

just the scan! I see my midwife August 8th... perhaps I should call the office just to ask about it? I wouldn't have been surprised if they sent me for a NST today, but they didn't.

now that I think about it.... I think i will call tomorrow and ask if I should be re-checked to see if the heart rate came up at all.

yea, that's what I would do. The u/s person usually can't say anything whether its fine or not and its going to be on your mind if you don't go ahead and call to ask. I am sure it is nothing, but its always nice to have your midwife reassure you.

    Congratulations on your little boy!

I don't have any info either - perhaps it was because he was so active that the reading wasn't accurate?!

My LO worries me because she rarely moves...even during the U/S it takes lots of probing and poking and prodding to get her to move even a little.

Congratulations! Two boys will be so much fun! Glad you got to see him moving all over the place

At one of my appts, my baby's HR was noticably lower than my other visits. Of course this worried me so i asked about it. My OB told me that if the baby is moving around a lot, sometimes it's hard to get an accurate reading. And the next time I went, HB was higher and back in the range it had previously been in.
