Any ideas: big sister gift?

So a thread in Nov. reminded me: I wanted to get a big sister gift fior my DD. I had thought about a nice baby doll, but she is not really into dolls and stuffed animals.

Any ideas?

What about a big sister book? Or whatever toys she is into right now, get her one of those.

I was thinking about this too for DS. I think I may just take him to the store and let him pick out his gift and then we will go get him a special treat, like a milk shake. Smile

A big sister book is a great idea. When my DS was born, he "gave" his big sister a fleece blanket (which mommy made). Nothing fancy, just the no-sew tie blankets you can make with fleece. She still sleeps with that blanket every night and I think it's nice to have that as a keepsake rather than a toy that will be outgrown, or broken, or given away at some point.

Emily is giving Nicholas a soccer ball probably. He loves balls and we were just going to use one of the gifts we were going to get him for Christmas.
